Ranger
The //Ranger//-class Gunship was developed soon after the New Republic's treaty with the Imperial Remnant. Its primary roll would be to track down and defeat pirate vessels, so it was designed with the firepower to engage medium and small starfighters, and match the speed of outlaw vessels. It was equipped with turbolasers and quad laser batteries. //Ranger// gunships proved to be especially effective at holding off large numbers of enemy starfigthers.
