Paradise.
The world was originally discovered by Joren Logan, when he led the New Alliance at the time. The world was intended to be used as a last resort regroup/fallback point for New Alliance forces if they were ever driven off Almania.
In a different galaxy, the world might have been the perfect tourist/vacation planet. Onyx is complete with plenty of different types of terrain, such as jungles, forests, mountains, deserts, and plains. The planet is populated by many types of animals and a native, sentient species known as the Onyxians.
They are a tribal warrior people, that when threatened, are highly aggressive deadly fighters. There are several Onyxian "nations", tribes who have banded together for mutual protection and interest. Until recently, the Onyxians were engaged in a brutal war against the only other sentient people on Onyx, the Settlers.
The Settlers live in the only city, New Stonia (named after the capital of Almania, Stonia - Logan's home planet and former TNA capital), and originally came to Onyx from different worlds within the New Alliance.
A peace has now settled over the world, now that Joren Logan has negotiated a truce between the two civilizations.
Onyx is now the capital of the Onyxian Commonwealth, a faction directly subordinate to the Galactic Coalition.
