ImperatorClass
Compendium of Imperial WarshipsThe Imperial Navy has expanded throughout the galaxy and met threats as numerous as could be imagined when endeavoring to bring Order to a chaotic galaxy. The Empire deploys millions of support vessels and thousands of ships of the line. Herein are contained the design schematics and abbreviated notations on the craft that have carried the black and red Imperial Banner to the farthest reaches of Space.
Battleships
The designation of a battleship is twofold – either A: engage from a considerable range the warships of the enemy doing a great deal of damage with the largest weapons available or B: act as the principle component or singular component of a flotilla. Any ships fitting that description in part are listed here.

At the time of the Rise of the Empire, the Imperial I was the most recognizable symbol of Imperial might. One of the vessels alone could terrify a star system into submission, their captains able to reduce entire enemy formations with the resources at their disposal. By the time of the Battle of Endor, however, the Imperial I had passed its prime. Mounting only heavy weapons and those emplaced only in casements, the ISD could not keep up with the development of technology – especially with modern fight tactics that had lain low so many of the proud warships. The ISD Is were all phased out by the 25th year after Endor. Those that remained were either museum pieces or training vessels.
The Imperial II-class replaced the titan on the roster.

The Imperial II, dubbed galaxy-wide the ImpStar Deuce, was designed by Lira Wessex shortly before the Battle of Yavin. Originally mounting 48 smaller versions of the already-popular Kruppx turbolasers as secondary weapons, the design was changed to meet the growing threat of intelligently deployed fighters. The fast-firing models, while of a smaller calibre, could target and hit the quick snub fighters that had become the bane of the Imperial Navy.
The Imperial II was not only upgunned, the armor plating was switched from torinite to duranium, a newly discovered alloy that proved a great deal more forgiving than that on the Imperial I. Shields were also strengthened with the addition of a secondary ionization reactor that would feed directly the deflectors.
Still in service today due to the evolving needs of conquest, plans to phase out the warship will be complete within the next two years.

The Imperial III-class Star Destroyer is the current Imperial Ship of the Line. The Destroyers produced by the Empire’s shipyards are all Imp-Trips as the enemy has come to call them. The warships are hideously slow in subspace but in hyperspace are as fast as their generational ancestors. They are heavily armed and heavily armoured and that armor is nearly impregnable. It has been layered and heat-hardened – tested against four warhead salvos that would have slaughtered an Imperial I.
Eager to win back its contract, Kruppx designed and sold the Quick-firing 75mm turbolaser that not only matched but surpassed those used on the Imperial II. Each emplacement has a dedicated generator allowing it to continue firing in the event of a ship-wide power failure. Targetting systems, however, would be inoperable as they are fed from the primary reactor.
The Imperial III is a potent ship, powerful enough in its own right to defeat squadrons sent against it. Used en masse, they are nearly unstoppable.
