The B-wing has eight weapon-mounting emplacements, each of which can be equipped with any number of different weapons, making it a very versatile attack craft. A later model of the B-wing, the B-wing/E, features an expanded cockpit, allowing for a dedicated gunner. The B-wing's cockpit can detach, functioning as an escape pod if the fighter is ever damaged.
