After the Unyielding Victory-class Fleet Destroyers, the Glorious Ascendant-class Heavy Cruisers are the largest class of ships in the Atlantean Fleet. Two forms of this design exist: the stock cruiser, and a carrier version. The carrier design features a larger crew complement, about 500 more crewmen, 90% of which are fighter operations personnel. also, her shields are slightly stronger. The Glorious Ascendant-class did suffer from power fluctuations when transiting to Sliplight, a problem that was overcome by the addition of two more reactors. In service with the Atlantean Navy for over 4,000 years, these ships are among the oldest in the Empire. Only 10 of these ships are in use today, and are known for their durability. One well-known phrase sprouted from this legendary toughness: "They take a lickin' and keep on tickin' . . . and tickin' . . . and tickin' . . . and . . ." (it just keeps repeating on and on for all of eternity)
It is worth noting that none of the Glorius Ascendant-class Heavy Cruisers/Carriers currently in service are over 150 years old. The oldest vessels have either been retired or scrapped. Only the design has been in service for over 4,000 years.
InuYasha, there is, in my opinion, only one way you could be this confused... and that is on purpose. I'm beginning to suspect you are an old, displaced member of the TRF, banned for whatever reason, who just came back to try and fuck with us.
Either that or you are a goddamn moron.
Both situations call for you to get the fudge out, you fudgin mother fudger.
Beff, this is almost exactly what I was thinking earlier. Except, I thought it might just be one of you guys that made a new profile to try to see how ridiculous you could get before the rest of the community would . . . do just what they're doing now. As it progressed, though, I realized there's no way any of you guys would try to mess TRF up so completely.

*gets out the Xilen/Chadd stick*
Poke.

Sorry for that "disregard of the rules" thing. I only want the "Atlantean Empire" as a faction people can join for a change of culture . . . or climate, or even conflict (there is an internal conflict regarding certain people and their loyalty to the Empire). The Fortune Hunters would be my main group. I've wanted to start this group on Galaxies, and I know how to fit it in with TRF.
#20 11:31pm 13/12/06
So you're starting two groups!?! At once!?! That's pretty ambitious of you. You're gonna have to get at least four other people to go along with you, and I don't know of anyone right now who is willing to do that. Most people think you have shown little to no regard for TRF's rules or the community.
If I could make a suggestion, I would say leave the new groups alone and join a current faction. RP for a while, maybe with the Bounty Hunter's Guild or the GC, then attempt to start your groups. After you've learned about TRF.

One question: if you're trying to start a faction called "The Fortune Hunters," then why are you trying to create a "Great Atlantean Empire"?
#18 11:21pm 13/12/06
Yes, I know. That is why I wish to start The Fortune Hunters for. I do not intend to take planets, but I do wish to put the R&D's for the NPC ships the Atlantean Empire uses. I was told they could occupy a sector, but control no planets in that sector. I will start small, and I hope people are interested in joining the Empire, because I want to see if I can make it work with multiple people. And I was trying to follow the rules, but they can be a little difficult to understand. A little clarification in the guide might help. These ships are only STORY DEVICES, meant to advance Atlantean-based storylines. Oh, and the Empire would be open to trade, diplomacy, and partying.
#17 11:14pm 13/12/06
If you are non-fleeting, then you have no ships and no R&Ds. You can't take planets.
If you want to have R&Ds, ships, and an empire, then you are a fleeting faction.
One or the other, take your pick. TRF is not here for you to build your personal empire and RP alone. You interact with other members. You write collaborative stories. If you want to write by yourself all the time and have no contact with the rest of the galaxy, stick to your book. Otherwise, at least make an attempt to follow the rules. That means that you're going to have to start small, like I said above and like other people have said before me.
#16 10:25pm 13/12/06
Okay, besides the size, which everyone disagrees with, what is wrong with this ship. I intend to take a non-fleeting stance with the Atlantean Empire, if that's even possible. These are just NPC ships that are in here to show the design evolution of the Atlantean Navy.
#15 5:09am 13/12/06
I say no to the ship, yes to the oh noes, no to Irtarded, yes to Wes, in that I agree with him that the ship is a no, and no to Irtarded in that his nos are not funny in a no sort of way, which is why I say yes to the oh noes because this thread sucks.
#14 4:58am 13/12/06
So you'll say yes to the post that I say no to because the ones who say no in this case aren't in the know, so the yes must then not go to the no because the ones in the know say yes?
#13 4:38am 13/12/06
So what have I learned? If I end up fleeting against Wes I must write my entire posts like that. :P
At least something useful came from this thread. :D
#12 4:26am 13/12/06
I don't know which, but after reading his post three times my head hurts. I gave up.
And to InuYasha: No.
I mean no to the ship, not no to the no. It's yes to the no. I think. But definitely no to the ship.
EDIT: Let me add that the Atlanteans at this point on TRF would not have the technology, the resources, or the ability to build even one of these ships, let alone ten. You are a new faction. Actually, you're not even a faction yet at all! You must start small. Meaning maybe one thousand meter ship and a few frigates and cruisers. But small.
#11 4:18am 13/12/06
Are your opinions confusing on what has done or quite plainly in agreement with that which has not been done?
#10 3:49am 13/12/06
But Irtar, we already know you opinions before you even state them. Meaning the confusion is rather non-existant.
