Description:
With the changing economy and the recent outbreak of violence towards supply and trade vessels it was determined that it was time for a new class of Merchant Ship to evolve. With recent events in mind, the Nominal-class Merchant ship was designed to fill the specified role. Equipped with weapons that can fend off some attacks, decent shielding, and a good hull, the ship is capable of withstanding attacks for a while in the hopes that aid will arrive.

TECHS:
Automated Interior Turrets: Without having the benefit of troops onboard the vessel to repel enemy invaders, something had to be designed to defend from invasion by enemy naval troops. Automated Interior Turrets, designed to be turned on individually at local command stations, are mounted on the ceiling and only extend down upon being activated. The tiny turrets house a single heavy blaster capable of piercing most armor. The stations placed all around the ship can be activated with the simple push of a button, but once activated they can only be shut off by a code that is input from the bridge of the ship.

Descending Cargo Bay: To make it easier to load and offload cargo, the Nominal-class of merchant ships has a cargo bay that lowers down completely from its belly after landing at its destination. The system works on a track system with one track located at each corner of the flooring. These tracks drop the platform down from the ship to the ground below. In the event that these tracks give out, there are also tracks located half-way between the corners that can be attached to the platform at any time.

Defender System mk.II: The defender system is designed as a defense for information carried within the date that is held inside of the ships main computers. In the event of boarding by an enemy force, the information systems can be purged through the use of a highly active virus which moves as fast as possible through the system, corrupting data and then destroying it upon the second pass. The reason the virus works this way is so that it can at least corrupt the data before someone starts fighting against it. Then is destroys what’s left before being stopped. This virus is unleashed by a retinal scan from either the Captain of the vessel, the Admiral of the fleet it is assigned to, or the communications officer. Once the first virus is released a subsequent second virus is released as well in order to further corrupt the system. This virus remains active even after the first has destroyed all data in the systems. This second virus hinders the ship from being used by enemy forces, fighting for control of the vessel. In the event that this second virus is about to be defeated, the ships computer systems also hold a third virus that the second virus can trigger. This third virus is a similar model to the second, but coded differently so it can't be defeated in the same manner as the first or second viruses.
SIDENOTE ON THE DEFENDER SYSTEM: In order to protect the sovereignty of those using these ships with this system, each faction that buys these will have three unique viruses as part of the system. Therefore, no one will know how to beat the other factions Defender.

Purpose: For mass production and sales as well as for use by CTI.

Stop it. This is not "Name the Image" game time. You don't need to post in every fucking thread to demonstrate that you spend far too much time watching Television. We get the fucking point.

In post fourteen, the fourteenth post of posts with actual IC goings on in it, the Nominal sees its first light of day in the form of its prototype, the Glory Daze.
