Description: This is the first ship purchased from the Galactic Coalition Decommission yards to be rebuilt. With the help of Mon Calamari engineers working side by side with Stellar Enterprises own personnel, the ship was rebuilt to house all weapons in seperated blister housings. These blisters allow the ship to engage enemies in any directions.
The ship's hull, while in good condition, was reinforced with layers of Carbon Matrix Armor. Vital internal structures were also reinforced to keep the ship together even after heavy damage. This was not a big job, however, since the Mon Calamari designed star cruiser was already well suited for taking damaged. It had been designed to take a sever pounding in battle and these ships proved time and time again that they could.
As with the orginal ship, the shields were backed up, as were the other systems. The Mon Calamari engineers helped to make the ship's backup systems more efficient. With a large surface area to work with, many more weapons were installed into the ship then were originally onboard. This was possible with a major upgrade in the power generator system as well as the power delivery.
Because most of the ship was made fully automated, like other Stellar Enterprises ships, some of the space that had at one time been used for crew members was converted to house weapons systems as well as extra power generators. To make even more room the massive hanger bay that had once held 8 squardrons of fighters was shortened. A rack system was installed to help launch the fighters quickly and one after the other. It allowed whole squardron of 12 fighters or bombers to launch at the same time.
This ship will be the first to host new Heavy Repeater turbolasers. They are similar in principle to the turbolaser ones, but pack a much harder hit. The weapons also heat up tremendously and require long cool down times to remain in opperating order. Their power requirements made it necessary for extra power units to be installed onboard the ship, but even while firing the ship looses the ability of travel at high speeds and of the use of its ion cannons. 25% of the heavy turbolaser batteries also loose their power when the Repeaters are fired.
Also like other ships in the SE Defense Force these ships will include Spectrographic sensors and cognative interphases for the fighters. They will also recieve high speed secure laser datalink systems for information transfer.
With only two of this ships being rebuilt, it was decided to make both full line batterships capable of defending Stellar Enterprises interests.
