Description:
Designed to rumble across the battlefield in mass formations and smash any defenders brave (and stupid) enough to stand in their path, the Decimator Main Battle Tank is a move by TaggeCo to recapture a major market share of the heavy weapons market from its competitors. In typical Tagge fashion the Decimator is brilliantly engineered and rigorously tested in numerous combat situations for a premium performance.

The tank's primary armament, two massive plasma cannons, were modeled extensively after Yuhuzzan Vong genetic engineering/technology obtained at extraordinarily high costs by Tagge from a variety of sources. Two huge purple "balls" of superheated molten gases slam into anything in their path, and linger momentarily, wearing into shields and eating away at armor. To supplement this destructive power four light blaster cannons are employed on swivel mounts to ward of pesky infantry, and a rear mounted rocket pod can be raised to release a barrage of mini-rockets that add a long range punch to the Decimator's arsenal.

The Tri Durasteel Composite armor (composed of three separate layers of durasteel, each mixed with a different substance to create three distinct alloys) can soak up damage and is designed to be resistant to small anti-tank weapons like shoulder-fired missiles. A small novaldex shield generator provides a small buffet of protection over this tough skin.

Factories on Tepasi have already been primed and readied, and full-scale production is slated to begin shortly. Orders are to be a division at minimum.

Well, I don't want to steal your thunder, and it was never my intention. I must admit that I was not aware that the Cree'Ar focused primarily on plasma weapons technology.

I'll ask Kaine and see what he says. If he doesn't like the Capricans angle, then I'll drop the idea. Unless, Ahnk, you'd rather I just drop it now.

If you can get Omnae to sign off, I don't really have much of an issue.

Kraken is correct in that my protest is mostly of a personal nature. I don't like the idea but as a staff member I can't really block as it's not the most rediculous idea we've seen. However I worked hard to create and maintain and individual group with individual technologies. While everyone went for increasingly focused weaponry of phased ion and pulse varieties, I deliberately stayed low tech for a simple advantage and also the added boon of being unique. To have that... usurped by a rag tag bunch of hoodlums is something that I find disconcerting.

Proceed as you will.

I was actually going to ask Simon if I could involve the Capricans in the R&D RP thread. Since they fought extensivly versus the Vong.

And the implication was never to use "Vong tech", rather try to emulate it as much a possible.

But if it's not fly then i can think up something else.

Maybe one of those sources is a greedy Cree'Ar tycoon in charge of weapons manufacturing? Time to purg...errr....purify your group of CEO's in charge of Cree'Ar weapon manufacturing again Ahnk. Certainly the CEO's in charge of your men's lingerie company.

*Raids Telan's concubine again*

He said from a variety of sources. IE Buying from people who STOLE Vong tech. Two different things.

#5 12:16am 18/12/05

"Buying" Vong tech.

:b

What are the grounds for your objection, Ahnk?

I object.
