Description:

Designed as a multi-purpose vessel, the Talon escort carrier provides a mixture of firepower and transport capacity to any space fleet.

The Talon's most potent weapons are the 8 squadrons of snubfighters it can carry in its massive, rear mounted hangar bay; but if necessary, the Talon can engage in combat with enemy light cruisers. To that end, 16 turbolasers are scattered in the front region of the vessel, adjuting its primary anti-ship weapons, a pair of heavy turbolasers in the "shoulders" of the vessel. The weapons, deadly to enemy capital ships, have an extremly limited range of fire, and are aimed primarily by the movement of the Talon itself. 35 quadlasers provide the Talon with a defensive measure against enemy star-fighters.

The Talon is also designed to support ground operations, and each vessel can house 3,000 soldiers and 30 of the Fegal made Khepri ground crawlers to support them.
