Thr Parrow Lin Heavy Cruiser is a more recent addition to the Dominion fleet, commisioned within the century as an upgrade of their earlier Parrow Lin Destroyers. The Destroyers were a smaller, more compact version of the Parrow Lin Battleships, but lacked the firepower and yet still retained the incredibly uninspiring speed. The Heavy Cruiser is an attempt to rectify that.

Made using the Cree'Ar's propulsion technology, the engines in the Heavy Cruiser can move the vessel at an average speed; slower then Cree'Ar vessels, but astronomically faster then the Parrow Lin Battleships and Destroyers. The Heavy Cruiser also boasts the trademark thick skin of the Parrow Lin vessels, which makes it heavier per meter then normal Cree'Ar warships.

New to the Cruiser is the shield ship beacon. It makes the Cruiser the only non-Cree'Ar vessel equipped with the shield ship beacon, and is the first Parrow Lin vessel that will be protected with an energy shield. Also new is the cybernetic nexus, although only one, and only in the engine room where no Parrow Lin will work anyway.

Though the primary purpose of the Parrow Lin Heavy Cruiser was for intersystem defense, the Cree'Ar saw the need for as many Parrow Lin as possible, and with the ability to support more Cruisers then Battleships, culling a few Cruisers was a logical move.
