NGC - Heretic Hyperspace Torpedo
NGC - Heretic Hyperspace TorpedoHeretic Hyperspace Torpedo
This weapon is a completely new torpedo of its kind. It uses a Hardened Cortosis Core and Bio-Plasmatic Warhead for maximum penetration that the warhead technology came from Galaxy Gun missile but on a far smaller scale. The weapon has no manuevering or drive thrusters. Also it has fighter-based hyperdrive and nav computer has been placed in the fuel and drive space. The weapon is delivered in a number of ways. Most often placed on modified bombers used by the New Coalition but there would be changes about multiple torp launchers removed and replaced by a bracket which can hold one of these weapons. This weapon can be modified on any fighter. The Fighter lines up with the target at a distance outside the targets weapons and releases the hyperspace torps they then engage their hyperdrives and slam into the target at hyperspace speeds. Though very effective this weapon is highly effected by interdictor fields. Other methods of delivery are external pods mounted on larger gunships and corvettes or capital ships. It will make damage of 100m radius and can go through any own shielding there is in the galaxy. This weapon is quite deadly when you make ships into swiss cheese around the enemy ship's hull.
The torpedo casing is coated with sensor-baffling materials and is equipped with highly advanced masking system. New sensors will be updated on the host vessel that carries these hyperspace torpedoes that if it detects a interdictor fields, it will sound an alarm back to the pilot or crew of a fighter or ship to not fire it at the enemy with a interdictor fields on. Its size is 20% larger than a Capital Proton Torpedo.
This system houses the targeting / tracking equipment, Power Core, Autoloader, and coolant system needed to fire the Heretic Torpedo.
Ammo varies from vessel type to vessel type

Heh, I used those warheads in a good few R&Ds back in the day . . .
Y'know, when I took an active role in this community.

That could be arranged my dear friend, Ren.
Sure thing, Jan. See you later when you get back. Take care.
What does the people say about having Bio-plasmatic gel as the warhead. Here is the info of the gel from CUSWE site.
developed by the scientists of the Qektoth Confederacy, this substance was a highly corrosive acid blended with a sticky gel. When launched in torpedo casings against a starship, the casing exploded and sprayed the gel all over the target's hull. The gel stuck to the hull, which the acidic corrosive began to eat through the metal plating. Unless removed, the gel eventually ate through the hull and breached the ship. The gel lost strength over a short period of time, and could be burned off the hull during passage through an atmosphere.

This R&D is on hold to go through numerous changes at our board before getting submitted here again.
Fel, I'm gone all next week so it will be a while before I adress the concerns I have with this R&D. Change the stuff the people here asked you to at our board and when I come back I'll look at it.

Umm... I never knew about that until Vincent told me about that. I will make the changes soon to be accept.

And how precisely did you get any information on the Galaxy Gun when TNO itself doesn't have that information?*
* Basically, this is our IC explanation for the OOC rules banning Sun Crushers, World Devestators, and the Galaxy Gun.

Titus: I never thought about where I got Cortosis come from. That force users like myself know about its properties and been used for thousands of years after Sith War with Exar Kun.
Kraken: Not really. I recall a comic book where it shows a ship entering hyperspace inside a planet's gravity well. But if you don't like that and if you fleets for example is outside the planet's gravity well then expect my missiles are coming down on your heads. If you don't like that I would use antimatter warhead to replace it.
Theven: I never thought of that which it never cross my mind. Thanks for pointing it out if its longer than most penis in space.

Do you furthermore realize your weapon resembles a penis engorged with blood.
Answer my question first as it is more important.

No

No
And you realise that this weapon couldn't be fired where the vast majority of all naval engagements occur, in the orbit of a planet, because of the planet's gravity well?
