Karnik Missile

Name: Karnik Missile

Classification: Nuclear

Type: Anti-Capital Ship

Crew: 1 Verbobrain

Payload: 15 Megatons

Length: 9 meters

Shielding: 80 SBD

Hull: 10 RU

Sublight: 130 MGLT

Maneuverability: 50 DPF (same as Y-wing)

Engines: Sekotian PX-1 Corsair and Sekotian Monolithe Maneuvering Jets

Useful Info:
-Piloted by a droid brain for target choosing. The brain on each missile cooperates with the others too keep them from choosing the same target. This is done via a small comm package. It's programmed to go after the largest threat.
-Causes 10,000 SBD of Damage
-The Sekotian Monolithe Maneuvering Jets are implanted in the missiles wings to give it added maneuverability.
-Launched via tractor beam deployment and brisge system engagement.
-Has two override codes and two activations codes known by the launch ships captain only.
-Warhead has saftey device to keep it from exploding by accident.

Origin:
After the carnage dealt out by Farfalen forces at Adumar, Admiral karnik began designing a missile similar to the ones used against him. The idea was to build a missile designed for destroying capital ships. This missile was the product of his labor.

Limitations:
-Takes 8 days to build one
-May only be ten in existance at any one time
-25 days to R&D
Firing Sequence: First post launch and activation. Second post find target and approach. Third post hit target and destroy it. Assuming no malfunctions.

R&D:
25 days

Yes they have according to what Lup and Kas have said. Both have told me that a long time in the past there was nuclear technology. Meaning they will have the information. And think about it. In a galaxy advanced enough to know how to use lasers and such, don't you think the properties of Uranium would be known?

#21 8:45pm 12/02/04

Agreed.

#20 8:29pm 12/02/04

maybe give you info on the original cannon Devestator missle, but not something like Kyrics. Nuclear weapons havent existed in SW...

#19 3:55pm 12/02/04

The library planet. Has information on practically everything.

#18 7:45am 12/02/04

Obroa-Skai?

#17 6:49am 12/02/04

Radiation gives you the byproduct of a weapon. By querying Obroa-Skai on the matter of large scale weapons using radiation, specifically in missile form, one can find out what exactly the weapon was and what it used.

#16 6:47am 12/02/04

how does radiation give you weapon stats?

#15 6:36am 12/02/04

Yes, but there will be greater amounts where a nuclear explosive has gone off. And some of that radiation will be pulled down to the planet. And I do not recall you doing a 5000 word thread to get yours. Perhaps, considering Karnik did this after the assault on Adumar, I will throw in the fact that they found excessive amounts of radiation, there was significant captured data to express an explosive of large magnitude, and maybe he queried Obroa-Skai in explosives dealing with large amounts of Radiation.

#14 5:44am 12/02/04

considering space is just chuck full of radiation already...

#13 4:16am 12/02/04

Yes, except we are in space, where theoretically, the propulsion from the explosion caused the radioactive molecules to shoot off in all sorts of directions. You may be able to get some traces from the miniscule peices of ships left. Perhaps a 5,000 word thread on the discovery and what not.

#12 3:55am 12/02/04

Radiation lasts a LONG time. It's not going to just disappear. It'll still be there and it'll be very deadly. If you don't believe me read Destiny's Way when they're on Ebaq 9.

#11 3:51am 12/02/04

I will post here, because you are stealing my technology. You really think radiation would stay in space? Long enough for your scientists to discover it? Hell, you might be able to have gotten some off of the SSD, but thats gone down with Bakura.

#10 3:43am 12/02/04

Think man. How primitive are nuclear missiles? Very. THey're old in the galaxy of Star Wars. Hence why they aren't widely used. No one needs to. You use a nuke and people will know because the concept it so old. And anyone can develop nuclear technology. Mine a little Uranium and test its abilities and you've got it. And you still aren't allowed to post here.

#9 3:37am 12/02/04

This directly affects me, so I'll post as I please. You're people have no knowledge of the missiles. If you managed to capture it, I will give you the whole technology.

#8 3:26am 12/02/04

It's called R&D for a reason. You do research on the thing, then you develop it. This is the final product. THink about the concept. And I believe if you aren't an R&D mod you aren't supposed to be posting here.
