Red Dragon and The Silence of the Lambs: unbeatable.

The Ring had scarey moments. They were intense, but very brief. So I won't say it was a really scarey movie.

I have seen movies without gallons of blood and gore that scared me, however.

I only go to see horror films with blood soaked, gory scenes.

Anything else is just not scary, and, so, is pointless.

(Don't bother telling me that The Ring is scary. I'm not that kind of guy. It's just not scary unless there's Hannibal eating your ass while you're still alive.)

I've been meaning to see The Ring. Friends say they couldn't sleep after watching it.

Whether or not the fact that they're teenage girl affects that, I don't know.

Could you sleep, Vindy?

Whatever.

LOL

OMG... The Ring was (and still is) originally a damn good Japanese horror film.

...then Hollywood bought the rights made a complete load of crap out of it, (like they normally do).

Stir of echos's, Bah!, the original "Ring" was made before and is better than them all, its one of the few Psy-horror films out there that are actually any good.

Do yourself a favour and see the original version.

It even spawned a series of sequels, since it was so popular over in Japan, i think theres another three films or something (don't quote me on that).

Even the subtitles do not subtract from it, I caught it late night purely by chance and I was glued to the end.

A clever, haunting , compelling, small film, which showed you didn't need big budgets to make a good story.

(IMO).

Hmm let's see....

Nothing.

See Isstal, I don't need to give girls my credit card number to talk to them, unlike somebody we all know.

And no Hyfe, I didn't go with my mom...she went to a chinese restaraunt with my step dad, lol.

*goes to go turn on Stir of Echos since he's now in the mood to see that kinda' movie...a REAL movie of that caliber that is*

Well, that wasn't what I was going to say.

You went to a movie with a girl? How much did you pay her?

#20 7:26am 10/11/02

You went to see the movie with your Mom?

**represses urge**

Go on, Hyfe. Say it.

But how Noah died was pretty cool.

I didn't get a chance to be anywhere near scared of that movie between the two idiots in front of me laughing at everything, the six idiotic girls behind me giggling and yelling the entire movie, and the girl clutching my arm asking if it's over.

But the plot didn't seem too intricate, though the beginning was sweet.

Well I never saw Stir of Echos, so it's fine with me. Heh.

Pah! It was totally cheap! Totally trying to copy what Stir of Echos was!

#15 7:03am 10/11/02

Pheh. I thought it was pretty darn good.

I went to go see The Ring, is that constructive?

It was boring, but maybe it can be considered constructive?

No, it was just a cheap spin off of Stir of Echoes...

Damn
