Don't give him the satisfaction of calling him a superior species.

Besides...don't insult the monkies...they've done great things. Where would we be without our primate ancestors who guided us into space? Who led our voyages into science by allowing us to disect their inner organs? (okay they really didn't have a choice there but oh well) And who provides Africans with water by being morons and eating too much salt and leading them there?

I ask you, why do you insult the monkey? What have you against the monkey?

You, sir, are a @#%$ moron.

This is called the OOC Forum, and the Rebel Faction is what we like to call a game.

Now shut up and sit in your corner, like a good little monkey.

Well, it does carry zero ground troops and a meger 12 two-meter fighters, it was supposed to have lots of guns. :)

The continious beam lasers aren't as powerful as they seem, either. The four heavy ones can, when combined in their firing pairs, cut through an ISD's shields in 30 seconds, say one post. The lighter models are designed to suppliment these by sweeping the hull of the enemy ship and melting weapons... like what would happen if someone took a big magnifying glass to a plastic model ship. To destroy something the size of an (Executor) SSD with the CBT alone would take somewhere along the lines of 6-8 posts, and that would be assuming that they weren't shooting back. The CBT requires such a power draw that other systems cannot operate at full capacity, too.

The Phalanx lasers are, as I said, anti-missile. They fire relitively weak blasts that are enough to blow missiles up, and can cause light damage to TIEs because, well, TIEs suck. They track very, very, quickly and fire very, very, fast. So in the case of a VSD firing an entire missile payload at the LFD from point blanc, say 10 - 20% of the missiles would get through. From a long range, say 2-5% of the missiles would make it through.

Frankly... looking at your weapons closely, it does seem like you've just got too much of too many. What... 6, 7 different kinds of weapons on this baby? You've got probably double the weaponry on here that a Reign has, and its only a few hundred meters longer.

Secondly, I'm concerned with those continuous beam lasers...

In your R&D, you state that one alone can punch through the hull of an ISD in a matter of seconds. And each can run for 30 straight seconds. I foresee you using 5 or 6 of these at one time for 30 seconds and obliterating massive enemy ships in one post. Not a good thing. That means these craft have practically the same destructive power as an ESD in its continuous beam weapons alone.

And your "Phalanx Point Defence Galting Laser Network" weapons are smaller, quicker, better tracking emplacements used for targeting and destroying missiles and fighters, yes?

*swats the broomstick away from his ass*

I got through all of it but wanted to double check the weapons before approving. Will do that shortly.

LOL. Sorry, Manhunter was 1986. 1865... don't know where that came from...

(Kanabal, once all the staff changes have been posted I'm going to past the final stats into this thread, okay?. I just did it this way because we can't edit our posts. I'll change the hull strength in my word document.)

#33 7:09pm 11/11/02

I'll look at it this evening. Remind me.

- Reduce hull to 8,571 RUs

- Recharge period for you Continuous Beam turbolasers up to two posts

1865? They released a movie to celebrate the end of the civil war? Damn, did they have talking parts? I hope it was in color....

I can just see it now,
Abraham Lincoln as that dead Guy
U.S. Grant as that drunk Guy
Jefferson Davis as that whipped Guy

a cast of thousands....and then 3/5ths of thousands.....

Must have been a hell of a good move....

thought you all could use some levity.....

Red Dragon was a good movie. A really good movie. Speaking of which, has anyone seen the 1865 version entitled Manhunter?

It's supposed to be good, too...
