Sheilds:The Shielding System on the Arc is designed for the purpose of protecting other ships and not itself. Basically the Arc is an shortened Interdictor Cruiser and instead of having gravity well projectors, contains massive sheild generators that can extend out to a radius of 2km. The vessel serves excellently well in giving much needed cover to other capital ships. The sheild can also be deployed in several different configurations, for coverage in every direction. The sheild can be faced forward to deflect oncoming bombardment, an aft placing gains a lot of protecton in a situation of retreat. However, the sheilding is stronger when placed in these positions than it would be if it were deployed all round the ship, although the sheild is significantly strong.

Actual sheild strength is compareable to that of a Imperial-Class Star Destroyer, even more so. The sheild generators themselves are made up of two distinct halves. The lower halves on the underside of the hull contain particle sheild generators, protecting against projectiles and and other physical objects while the upper halves contain the ray sheild generators protecting against lasers and other energy weapons.

The Arc is also capable of recharging it’s sheilds. Before the ships enters battle it detaches a small recharge battery which sits at the back edge of the fleet. When the Arc’s sheilds are depleted it returns to the edge of the fleet, recharges, then jumps back into battle.

Since one ships is not enough to cover an entire fleet, it is recommended
that they be deployed in large numbers throughout a fleet .

The sheild ship is also slave rigged to the other vessels under its protection, controling them until the sheild gives out.

The sheilding system is controlled by the Mark4 Sienar Sheild Control Computer Matrix. This huge system controls the power distribution to the sheilds, but most of all controls the ability to drop and raise the sheilds at a moments notice. It can control this so accurately that it can create such a precise drop in the sheilds that it can allow the Capital ships under its protection to let out a small feild of laser fire or missle barrage for a few seconds

Speeds;
Sublight:Equivelent to that of a Interdictor Cruiser
Hyperdrive: Class 3 (The hyperdrive is somewhat slow due to the extra bulk of the Sheild recharge pod.)

Weapons systems:
3 Magpulse Launchers for emergancy use.

Troop Capacity:

Ship Background:

Certain tasks like planetary invasion and heavy fleet engagements require a lot of ships. Sometimes an opposing fleet can become blitzed into space debris before getting the chance to return fire. The Arc-class Sheild Ship is here to solve that problem. The arc provides a low-cost solution to any fleet commander’s protection worries. The Arc can get a fleet in close to the enemy without even getting a scratch, then the sheild is let down and its cruisers begin to fire away unhindered. The sheild ship also serves to protect vast numbers of fighters or even ramming vessels.

Mag-Pulse Launchers: They (the Hapans) have adaopted gravity well-projector Technology that was developed by the Empire for Imperial Interdictor heavy Cruisers. Hapan Scientists have also developed "pulse mass mines" which produce "mass shadows," simulating the effects of planetary bodies and deterring ships from jumping into Hyperspace. (from the Essential guide to ships and vehicles no less.)

Originally intended to be R&Ded at THC but I got board and just R&Ded it at SC instead.

So it's an SC design. Got the Magpulse as a suggestion from dak.

Approved.

Hapan or SC design?
