Nemesis-Class Biological Cruise Missle

Designer: The Trade Federation

Combat Designation: Rain of Fire

Length: 1m

Speeds:
Equal to a standard concussion missle

Armour:
The ROF features ablative armour capable of whithstanding the heat of the strongest planetary atmospheres.

Warhead:
Packed within the warhead are 12 green spheres which contain the biological agent brought to life in the extensive Nemesis Project. When at the designated distance from it’s target, the missle jettisons the upper half of it’s casing and expells the 12 bomblets from it’s casing. Inside each bomblet is a tiny charge which when detonated, blows the sphere’s content into the air. Once exposed to the atmosphere, the chemical agent reacts with the other gases in the air and releases the toxin to rain down onto it’s victims.Hence the name. Each missile carries enough of the Biological agent to kill the entire populace of a small planet in a matter of days.

Engine and manouvering systems:
The missle contains a standard concussion missle ion drive but is equipped with more up to date and responsive thrusters and afterburners giving it a greater ability to avoid anti air-craft and CHAFF defenses. The missle houses a TGX-3 droid brain which is capable of making accurate combat manouvers at up to 7 times the accuracy of todays top fighter pilots.

Background: Developed in a joint venture between the Trade Federation, and Leviathan Corporate Industries though cruel, and imhumaine tests, the virus finally tested positive to be an effective killer of all species, and race. Costing an estimated 5,000,000 Credits per warhead, and an additional 65,000,000,000 for the project's history of study, the Nemesis project, later known as the Nemesis-Class Biological Cruise Missile was developed.

The weapon requires a special launcher or craft that constitues a second R&D, since its destructive power is so great.

The weapon is only effective in the atmosphere of a planet, and can cover a maximum radius of only 300 kilometers.

It can not be used against a space craft of any kind .

Because of the weapons great cost, only 5 can be in existance at any one time.

There is a 20 day construction time per missile.

Although the weapon is tougher to track and destroy than most projectile warheads, it can not and will not be considered incapable of being destroyed before reaching a planets atmosphere.

The weapon cannot be used to kill RP characters.

Design Time: 20 days for ship 1 meter to 400 meters

It's likely, but I have no reason to do that.....

You congure some kind of deal up, then.

One other note: There is a cure! Archangel Project.

#11 5:57pm 05/11/02

I don't know about that deal.

All's I know is this weapon will allow you to wipe out the population of every planet in the entire galaxy, if given enough time, regardless of how many exist at any one time.

I'm not saying that it would have the ability to kill RP characters.....

How about this? I know you guys made a deal with Heir Raktus when he build his mega droid of death, so I'll ask for a simluar deal....

How about you only allow 5 or so to exist at any one time?

Think about the fairness in that.

I've done long extended roleplays before, but I didn't think that gave me the right to create a nuclear warhead machine gun R&D.

With this R&D, you could shoot two missles at Coruscant and kill trillions, including probably 4 or 5 RP characters, in 1 post.

It's a virus. A long, and extended roleplay developed it. So, yes.

#7 5:38pm 05/11/02

You expect me to approve an R&D that can, as you say, "kill the entire populace of a small planet in a matter of days"?

I know. I asked Staff to fix it.

Your tag is showing nelix.

Thanks, Tobal. I forgot to mention that.

There has been an extended Roleplay about the development of this project....

Should point them in the direction of the RP

No. The Chemical is designed to react to the explosion of the actual warhead, the atmosphere is just incase, however unlikely, the explosion doesn't set the orb off.

So it must be deployed in a mostly Oxygen with some Nitrogen and some Helium only atmosphere?
