Shadow Paint (OSJ R&D #1)
Designation: Starship PaintColor: Very Dark Grey, almost black.
Paint Properties: Matte, light diffusing
Description:
“Shadow Paint” is the nickname given to the unique paint that all OSJ vehicles will be treated with. The paint is a heavy, sticky substance, and goes on the ship after it is constructed. A chemical reaction occurs when heat is applied, hardening the paint to the hull. Flying close to a small star will give the desired result.
The paint absorbs 95% of all light, utterly defusing it. This makes it impossible to see the ship with the naked eye in space, and it is extremely disorienting to any viewer when the ship lands on a planet.
The paint does next to nothing to standard scanning equipment.
Extras
This paint will be applied to all OSJ vehicles. As stated, the paint only absorb light. Anything that relies upon light to focus in on the vehicles (eyes, cameras, etc) will be unable to see the vehicle. Other than effecting light, the paint does nothing to scanning equipment, homing devices, etc.

UIT was basically Khendon Sevon and myself. Primarily at SWFans. The only thing you are probably familiar with that we made is the Shroud.
And a 20 day will be fine.

Thanks muchly.
I take it that a 20 day R&D time will be fine?
And, what's United Imperial Technologies? I tried a google, but nothing came up.

Eh. United Imperial Technologies has been using stuff like it for years.
Approved.

I just lack the motivation... Plus, you'd all steal my ideas before Lucasarts buys them up.
By the by, another kickass concept.

I would also like input on this by any other member who wishes to give it.
Constructive, of course.

If you’re wondering where the “Build length” etc are, I have no idea where they ran off to…
Every ship is painted when it is done, this is just a different kind of paint.
I don’t know what kind of R&D time you’d want on this either.
