Project: Fleet (BHG R&D #3,4,5,6.)
Project: FleetThrough-out the galaxy there are countless variations on starship development, craft designed to meet and fill one need or the other. Craft designed by Mandalore Technologies are no exception, in fact, the exemplify specialized spacecraft.
In a time where most capital-class ships seem to be geared towards out-right brute force and sheer military potential, Mandalore Technologies was called upon to design a number of ships to fill a very direct roll.
The nature of BHG's business was such that the standard and typical craft available to the galaxy simply would not do. There was no need for massive warships and heavy arsenals, as these things were not a primary function for the Guild. Instead, their attention was turned towards stealth technology.
Because of the nature of the Project, the minds behind the operation decided not to design entirely new craft, but rather, they chose to modify existing designs to meet their needs. The resulting ships have so little in common with the original blue-prints that the ships were designated as entirely new craft, the word 'modified' falling woefully short.
Every ship within the Guild Fleet was designed with the ability to cloak but, at a cost in other areas. While adept at covert operations, the Fleet Project ships do not compare to other similarly sized ships in open combat.
Each ship mounts a Mandalorian Cloaking Device and an ore plated hulls required to operate them and, utterly lacks any external mounts. this includes; weapons, sensor arrays and so on. Any systems which require external mounting were recessed into the hull and mounted on retracting devices.
The ore-fiber plating increases the durability of every ship equipped greatly, but it interferes with shield projectors. As such the Guild ships only have weak shield generators. Too strong and they loose their element of stealth.
In place of the original energy cannons that the designs originally used, the Guild Fleet uses only missiles and torpedos for offence. The theory behind this is that a cloaked ship can move in very close on an unwary enemy, fire its payload of missiles the cloak or run... It has proven effective in simulation, especially in situations where the cloaked ships were able to hit their enemy before shields could be raised. To add to these style of attack, each guild ship from Project: Fleet mounts white-noise generators along with a number of other sensor baffler systems. Unfortunatly, they do nothing to prevent detection by Grav-Trap sensors and rely on their other bafflers.
Every design also replaced the original engines with far more powerful engines and motivators. With more powerful engines a more sturdy keel was required and, with that already on the plate, it was only a matter of logical progression until an advanced system of maneuvering jets were be added. The resulting designs excelled in the areas of speed and maneuverability, so much so that other ships of similar size could not compete.
Without the sentient-power that other corporations and factions had available to them, BHG was forced to design ships that could function with significantly reduced crew numbers. This saved on space and resources but, demanded an advanced system of slaved computer networks... each Mandalore Tech ship also carries a number of specialized droids.
An added bonus of the computer slaving and reduced crew space was the ability to add highly advanced and custom developed sensors that work well with the Mandalorian Cloak but, only so well. When free of cloak their invasive sensors are a wonder to watch but, even under cloak their passive sensors are marvels of technology... able to take and return readings that other systems could not, without giving away their position.
All of the Guild ships were designed with certain ideas in mind. They were designed and built to excel in the areas of guerilla warfare and covert-operations. As a corporation which exists mostly in anonymity, ships of this sort fit the requirements perfectly.
They are able to transport goods from one location to the next in almost complete secrecy. They serve well as reconisance and intelligence ships. They are also extremely competent first-strike ships.
No matter the mission, Mandalore Technologies ships preform competently. But, when put to use as was intended, the BHG Fleet is positively devastating.Through-out the galaxy there are countless variations on starship development, craft designed to meet and fill one need or the other. Craft designed by Mandalore Technologies are no exception, in fact, the exemplify specialized spacecraft.

The Deception Cruiser was a logical progression between the Stalker Corvette and the Interrogator Destroyer.
Like all ships out of Mandalore Technologies, the Deception is modified, heavily, from a pre-existing design. Though radically altered, the Deception retains few of the original Hapan Nova Cruiser that it was designed from.
Like the Interrogator, the Deception was designed to be a swift first-strike ship which relies heavily on its enhanced systems. First of all, it mounts a Mandalorian Cloaking device and wears the ore-layered hull customary to the device, which also gives the hull a very high endurance.
It has finished weapons and only mounts projectile tubes/launchers. It lacks any surface mounted sensors or weapons, all of which are recessed into the hull or extend from within. Its primary line of offense comes in the form of 20 forward mounted tubes but it also carries a squadron of TiE Phantoms which can function as escorts or defenders. There are 5 concussion and 5 proton tubes in the ships nose, mounted in a tight cluster, while each wing mounts 7 tubes at intervals along the forward surface of the ships wings. One rear mounted tube provides the ships only rear offensive capabilities. It also lacks powerful shield generators and instead relies on its improved hull durability when it comes to taking blows. Improved sensors, which are customary to all Mandalorian Technologies ship, and very powerful weapons complement the cloaking device superbly.
The Mandalorian Cloak, in combination with the improved Mandalore Technologies engines make for one very swift and maneuverable ship. The reinforced hull plating also provides increased keel stability, allowing it to preform high-speed maneuvers that less agile ships could not manage. It can manage high sublight speeds for short intervals when the gas from the cloaking device is diverted into the motivators, though this takes a toll on the engines if done in excess or for extended durations. To augment this, the Deception has a highly advanced system of maneuvering vents.
The long 'neck' of the vessel has added a downward cant, and the wing portions have been given a harsher inward curve similar to the wings of most birds of prey. The resulting ship has an extremely sleek and perdatorial appearance. A pair of shuttle bays appear on each side of the vessel, tucked back near the wings. The main command bridge is situated above the nose of the ship, but no visible details reveal the exact position of the bridge in any detail... obviously to protect the ships command center.
It can be a formidable ship when used for covert warfare and guerilla tactics and is even more potent when deployed in a fleet of similar ships, such as the Bounty Hunters Fleet. Even with it's moderate armament, the ships ability to 'hit and run' makes it a valuable contribution to independent fleets.
In summary: Modified from an already highly esteemed ship, the Deception is a natural choice for any 'less-then-the-law' element. While it lacks significant open offensive capabilities, it boasts outstanding service in the areas of guerilla tactics and covert-operations. The areas in which it excel well make up for the areas in which it lacks,

Like most ships of the Guild Fleet, the Interrogator Destroyer is not in fact an independent design but rather a heavily modified and upgraded Sienar Fleet Systems Immobilizer 418 Cruiser. The process of building an Interrogator requires such extensive reconstruction of the original chassis that it would be a stretch to classify as 'modified'.
The Interrogator is designated a Stealth Cruiser.
It mounts significantly less firepower then the Immobilizer as well as hosting a much smaller crew. It also has a severely reduced shield capacity and it carries less fighters.
It boasts a dramatically improved sensor package, an incredibly advanced cloaking device, an extremely durable hull, hugely powerful engines and an impressive system of maneuvering thrusters.
26 projectile tubes/launchers are mounted along the ventral surfaces, all facing forward with a 15 degree firing arc. The ship lacks any cannons or tractorbeams of any kind. It lacks any rear mounted defense and relies on its speed and fighter compliment to avoid such damage.
The Interrogator has a very sleek, low profile design. It has signifigantly less mass then the original Immobilizer as well as a recessed bridge.
Its hull is entirely plated in compressed mandalorian ore fibers and lacks any protruding weapons or sensor arrays (all of which are mounted internally and retract or extend). This serves two purposes: One, it provides the hull with an enhanced durability. Two, the plating is required to modulate its cloak*.
*See, Mandalorian Cloaking Device.
The Interrogator was designed along much the same lines as the rest of the BHG fleet. It is a first-strike, stealth and covert spacecraft. Though it cannot be denied that the Interrogator has definite military potential, it simply does not qualify in open combat. When employed as a warship, the craft works best when able to take advantage of its cloak. The idea is to drop out of cloak (an extremely fast process) on an unprepared and unaware enemy, open fire with all of its missile and turbo tubes, then recloak or run. If caught with its gaud down, Interrogators quickly crumble.
It also works well as Recon/Intel ship as it has large storage tanks for the exhaust created by its engines and the cloaking device. In total it can remain under cloak for 30 standard 24 hour days... any longer is fatal to the ship. Also, when geared for a long haul under cloak the ship runs at extremely diminished power levels, all non-essential systems are completely shut down.
The Interrogator is capable of being a very swift ship and preforming maneuvers that similar ships can not. Though the vessel already has impressive engine thrust, providing for a naturally quick ship, when needed gas from the cloak can be diverted into the motivators thus giving the ship a very quick, albeit brief, burst of speed. Doing this in excess takes a massive toll on the engines and they cannot run at such speeds for extended durations.
In summary: Interrogators are excellent ships when deployed in fleet actions or with similarly oriented ships. They serve their purpose well and can generally out run their enemies. Interrogators utterly lack in open combat, though they boast an advanced cloak. Improved hull durability and improved sensors make up for less weapons and a smaller crew.

The largest ship to come out of Mandalore Technologies, the Mercenary Battleship was only ever intended to be produced in limited amounts. At 900 meters, it is one of the shortest ships of the line and the term 'battleship' is a bit of a stretch.
Direct conflict was not the main motivating factor behind the design of the Mercenary. It was designed to be a command ship for the guild fleet, using its relatively small size to blend in with the rest of the guilds capital ships it could operate with a high degree of anonymity.
Like the rest of the guilds ships, the Mercenary hosts a Mandalorian Cloaking Device and the layered hull traditional to the cloak. It has an extremely sleek design that blends both of the guilds other capital ship designs with one another.
It has a somewhat angular appearance muck akin to the Interrogator Destroyer, though its profile is somewhat more streamlined. The rear angles of the arrow-head fan out and down into 'wing' like shapes with sharp angles at the tips, a trait stolen from the Deception It also features a forward 'head', also stolen from the Deception, that blends gradually back into the hull. The resulting shape gives a very narrow profile that blends the Interrogator with the Deception. As it requires a very streamlined hull, the ship has no external sensor arrays or weapons and mounts such just beneath the hull or on retractable arms. The powerful sensor system within the ship runs just beneath the hull plating almost the length of the ship.
Like all Guild ships, the Mercenary was built from modified design plans of other ships, in this case the Deception and Interrogator and further back, the Nova and Interdictor. It is however; a fair deviation of each. At 900 meters, it required an entirely new keel design as the others presented wouldn't qualify. As such it is regarded as the most conceptual ship to come out of Mandalore Tech.
As with all Guild ships, the Mercenary excels in certain areas and falls behind in others.
It lacks an significant enough artillery to stand in an open fight and exchange fire. In the place of cannons, the Mercenary only mounts torpedo and missile launchers and tubes. All of these are built with forward firing arcs of 15 degrees. Some 38 tubes and launchers line the forward ventral surfaces of the ship with a small cluster of each in the 'wing-tips' and nose.
Because of its relative vulnerability in open conflict it hosts massive engines and a highly advanced system of maneuvering thrusters. Custom engines, like all of those in the BHG fleet, enable the ship to achieve high speeds and, combined with the maneuvering thrusters, the Mercenary can preform feats other ships could not.
A highly durable hull enables the Mercenary to take a beating, though with the lack of strong shields it just compares with other ships of its size.
Two squadrons of TiE Phantoms are stationed aboard each Mercenary to serve as support and escort craft where needed. These launch from a central bay tucked near the back of the ship under the protection of its down turned tips. It also carries a number of Stealthray Blastboats and shuttles to provide support when called on.
In summary: The Mercenary is a very component ship. It can suffice as a reasonable battle or command ship. Combined with its cloak, hull, and engines, the Mercenary makes up for the areas in which it lacks. Though it cannot be considered an open-combat ship, it preforms excellently in guerilla tactics, hit-and-runs, as well as covert-operations.

The smallest craft to come out of Mandalore Technologies, the Stealthray Blastboat fills the fleets support role as missileship and bomber.
As with the rest of Mandalore Technologies designs, the Stealthray was designed off of the blueprints from an already reliable craft with a long history of service to the galaxy. The Skipray Blastboat had served as the base plan for the Stealthray. But, like the rest, the Stealthray has been so heavily redesigned that it has been given its own designation.
The keel of the Stealthray is a total of 5 meters longer then the Skip but, still retains much of the original shape. Apart from its larger size and streamlined shape, a trained eye could still see the ships ancestory.
It has been modifed for the Mandalorian Cloaking Device, and as such, wears the ore-layered hull common to the technology. No protrusions mark the hull, sensors and weapons recessed into its hull. As a result, the Stealthray's hull is incredibly durable but, it can only mount moderatly powerful sheild generators.
The rear fin of the ship carries both one concussion and one proton launcher with one more of each installed on either side of the ships hull. The traditional front end ion cannon was replaced with a interal sensor array, resulting in a vulerable front end. To fill the roll of bomber, it also carries one rear-mounted bomb rack.
The original engines were dropped in favour of more up-to-date and powerful engines capable of taking advantage of the cloaking devices 'turbo' effect. The larger keel was vital here as well.
Unlike other ships of the fleet, the Stealthray does not carry an advanced sensor package as it only needs to use its sensors when uncloaked and in confrontation.
The ship was designed for use by a pilot and co-pilot, sensor officer, and a single gunner to operate the rear launchers and bomb rack.
In summary: The Stealthray Blastboat fills a vital roll in the Gulild fleet. It can function as a tag ship for larger confrontations, as a front-line attack ship in geurilla and covert operations, and as a stealth-bomber when the time needs. Also able to ferry delecate materials from one place to another, the Stealthray is an advancement over the Skip in the above stated areas but, not as compotent in open combat.
