AGM R&D, OPERATION NOMAD
(OOC: Before youread this, I know this breaks several rules, and the chances of it being approved are lower then 50%, but it is an attempt to help give support to the lightside. As the current battles have shown, The Lightside is in trouble. One of the biggest problems is that we have planets. We need planets, you cannot fleet without them. But planetss are targets, planets can be attacked, thus making it near impossible to fight guerilla style. And there's loads of people in the galaxy, so you can whipe a planets' population clean and bring in colonists to destroy freedom fighters.
This is an idea to help counter this seemingly doomed situation)
Operation Nomad.
With war reaching across the galaxy, the Azguard High Command has realized that they will one day be attacked, and destroyed.
With no way they could think of to move all their people away from danger zones, a brilliant young mind in the field of starship engineering, Yhaosan Sibistan Bek began a bold design operation to create what has been known by only the highest up as The Wanderer.
It is a massive semi-circle vessel, capable of holding the population and supplies to run an entire planet. Vast chambers for agriculture, humungous districts, it was infact designed as one twelfe the size of Azguard. It would be capable of carrying the entire people and supporting them, and it was equipped with a hyperspace drive and sublight engines. This massive construct COULD be their new home.
But there was one massive, glaring problem. The amount of resources needed to support it would drain Azguard dry. So it was lain by the wayside.
But a group of engineers are starting to reawaken the idea, and people are starting to think. Maybe this would be what the galaxy needed. They could push out evil and let in good, and most importantly of all leave danger with innocents.
So now, the council of Twelve of the highest up Azguards ponder over the plans...
(This would function exactly like a normal planet except it can be moved around. perhaos ut would carry similar needs as that of the death star? Plus it would leave one world utterly dead by its' massive resource needs. This would, in effect, create a giant moving planet with shipyards and providing maintenance. A way to fight guerilla with the TRF rules, and a way to save entire populaces from the flame.
Speaking of flame, I humbly await moderater wrath)

I assume this project would become your new homeworld?

Well, don't forget that I will likely never have the requirements to build a death star...

Agreed but, it still needs stats and such-like. Also, this is asking for a special condition, which means the approval of two or more moderators.
Feel free to continue the project and we'll see what we can do to make it fair.

Heres a thought:
Death Star Replacement
If he wants to build the thing, he cant build a death star. This thing would have all the build req's of it though...

Well I just thought this up as a way to solve the situation brewing where the darkside can just get together, whipe out a faction with their giant fleets, then relax, divvy up the loot and repeat.
At least eith this it would be far more difficult to come in and annihalate me. It could be slow, it could build less, or support less, or take a 5000 word RP, it has no weapons, anything to allow me to escape and take my people with me.
Besides, one well placed abolisher and BOOM.

Seems like alot of work.
Perhaps it would be wiser to test this concept through RP before we have worldships running around the galaxy.
You'll also have to consider the massive losses any such faction would have to take in using a mobile spacestation as their home'world'. Things like tactical advantage and such-like would also have to be taken into consideration.
No matter which way you size this it would take special rule amendments for individual groups, etc. While I am not against the idea in practice... I do believe it would be more of a mountain of work then most people are willing to under take.
I had a similarly large scale idea going but, I dropped it on the prestense of possibility, realism, and fairness... The whole "world creation" thing.
I'd like to hear the opinions of more players, staff and mods before this is even considered for further inspection.

Interesting concpet. I myself am not against such a proposition, and indeed have considering such a method of grouping myself. My personal opinion, if you gave this craft enough downsides (slow, for one thing), it could work. I would also want a reduced build time... perhaps 80 meters per day, to make up for the mobile shipyard bit.
I'm sure someone (cough*Gash*cough) will comment that adding such a complication is stupid and the entire design should be scrapped, but that's just my opinion.
