Observer R&D 3:Cloak module
Model: Observer Cloak moduleType: External double-blind cloaking device
Scale: Star fighter
Length: 11 meters
Systems: Imperial Computer Combat Predictor.
40 % speed subtraction when the cloak is in use.
Modular fighter
Normal Speed: 110 MGLT
Adjusted speed: 66 MGLT
The Observer Cloaking modual takes off where the hyper space rings left off. The Device latches onto the outer hull of the Jedi class start fighter the Aethersprite-7. Arrow like in shape the extension adds stealth to the fighter crafts capabilities.
The module is the largest of the ship modules. Neccessitated by the fact that that module needed it's own on board power sources integrated into it to make it function. Taking the design from that of the Tie phantom the module. The Phantom had the cloaking device built directly into the ship's system. The modular fighter has it built around him. The Double blind cloak shield generator is spread far more generously over the space of the module. An attempt by Observer scientists to try and maintain the integrity of the cloak for longer periods of time. With the cloak projecter spread so it has an easier time generating the cloak shield.
Unlike the Phantom the Module cannot be used when making a hyperspace jump. It has to be shut off in order to have enough power to make the jump to hyperspace. It is a small draw back but one that is out weighed by the advantage of traveling undetected. Power issues also plague the speed of the fighter when the cloak is in use. It draws so much energy that when in use it lowwers the fighters speed by 40 percent.
Additionally there is a slot in the front of the modual to allow the fighter craft the use of it's two laser cannons.

Type: External double-blind cloaking device.
Stygium crystals are not an issue here, it functions like the Phantom... double-blind.
#9 3:17am 23/05/03
It seems okay...has necessary drawbacks...it is understood that without stygium crystals this will be double-blind yes?

Looks good to me. Gue? Seth? Chadd?

Some changes in description were added. Suggestions and or comments please.

I await the changes.
Sorry for not better explaining the alternatives. Suffice to say that I, personally, want to see as much detail on any and all cloaking devices that come to R&D projects.

I was wondering just what you guys were requiring for the cloak system. You guys gave some warning that you were going to put all the further cloaks under speculation. But you did not specify how to write the R&D's accordingly.
I well get on it then thanks.
