Quadlaser Saucer Mounts
Incorporating the rotating hull of the feared battle dragon into much smaller platform, the mounts rotate each battery to allow full firing speed and damage.
Total Quadlaser Saucer Mounts: 6
External Warhead Octet
The inclusion of an external warhead octet is easily fitted to the battle configuration of the Lorrell Gunship, but also imposes limitations. If mounted, the top triple Ion battery cannot be fired until the missiles are fired, or the Octect jetisoned. Also, some saucers are unable to properly engage the enemy if equiped with the Octet as it hinders upwards firelines. Once fired, or before, the Octet can be jetisoned fairly rapidly.
Supernova Anti Intrustion System
The most complex system on the spartan warship, each room of the ship is sealed with durasteel doors, while bulkheads seal off each section. If intrusion is detected, captain can order the section shut down, dead locking all doors and closing the sections bulkheads. The Supernova generators can then generate gravity to a massive degree in a designated sector, pinning anything to the floor, irregardless of size. Maximum gravity output: 11Gs.
Description
Designed to combat the desire by the Royal Family to focus spending on larger capital ships such as the Matriarch and the Conquerer, the Lorrell Gunship is the no frills alternative to frigate combat. Designed simply with the purpose of engaging the enemy, the craft lacks any cargo space, instead focusing the majority of its structure to weaponary.
The ship is cylindrical, much like a Corellian Gunship, with a triple ion battery on the bow as well as the four placed at 90 degree angles from each other on the hull. Troop completment is minimal, although a 5 man marine detail remains on the ship at all times.
Despite lacking even the simplest of pleasures, SOP calls for the craft to only ever be on operation for a month or two due to morale restrictions, although hardened crews are expected to be more able to handle longer terms of duty than green crews. Other SOP precedures onboard the craft include the dual particle ray sheilding system and standard hapan backup sheilds.

Lifesupport: Obviously. The system is rudamentry and designed to work with the supernova system, but other than that has only a single backup.
Medbay, persay doesn't exist. Each ship has 2 medical staff, plus one of the marines who is trained in advanced battlefield treatment techniques. Also, the marines have rudimentry training, but thats it. Any serious treatment requires transport to other craft.
Artificial gravity is controlled entirely by the Supernova system.
Internal dampeners are present also.
Missile guidance systems are included in the weapons themselves. The Octect itself is completely self sufficient in that sense, and the normal launchers handle themselves in a standard way. The only cargo the ship carries is food and missile supplies. Coincidentily, the ship is entirely devoid of spares etc, relying on other ships to supply them.
Same with targetting computers. They are localised around their weapon battery and saucer mount.
Sensors are a power efficient version of standard sensors, although size reductions in the recieving dish mean that the sensors range can only be focused on its battle zone. It cannot, for example, detect ships entering the edge of the system, but will detect them slightly before they enter combat range. A C&C version of the craft can be selected, allowing inter system communications and greater sensor range, but such a design precludes the use of the Octet.
Communications are only within the system of battle. The ship does not mount holocom systems or any major communications, althought he C&C version can mount one, preluding the use of Octet.

He's refering to me, which I might add, has been consulted with with admins and found to be unbiased.

Kyric: Unless I am mistaken, your submission has had a number of comments and suggestions, all of which you seem to have to intention of complying with. I note a disticnt lack of suggested changes on the original post... Perhaps that could be part of your problem in approval. I will look into the situation but, I suggest you watch your accusing statements.

And mine ... which is much less hasn't been approved... biased staff.

Though this craft has been approved, I think Kas has a valid point. Would you like to adress his issues Lup?
#28 9:41pm 10/06/03
Perhaps Kas, but imagine how much more shields the vigil could have had if its systems had been focused on energy to simply 3 points, sheilds, weapons, thrust, basically ignoring all non wartime tasks.
Quote:

Lots of other power demands here… I still think this is very overpowered for its small size. Where’s it sucking this juice from?
What’s the achilles heel? You could build just these, and overpower anything else. What’s it’s weakness? Constipated crew because there’s no biff? Suffocation after twenty minutes if it doesn’t dock for oxygen? Starvation? No aiming mechanism?
APPROVED!
#24 8:18am 10/06/03
lol, i knew doing that would get that kind of reaction!
Heh, don't worry, i'ma dropping hull to 250, although thats starting to border on fighter strength, since B Wings had nearly 100 RU in hull rating...
#23 8:01am 10/06/03
You would go with the maxes. I'd really like it if you'd drop one of the stats 50 or so points...
If you're firm as is... Well...

Done and done.

Hull 250-300 MAX.
Shield 450-500 MAX.
All that I see left needing fixxed.
