Isstal: While your comments and suggestions are welcome, I do suggest you watch the tone of said posts. They have been, at times, rather inflamatory. I would appreciate it if you would keep that to a minimum. Also, please be sure to keep your comments to the actual submission.
Thanks.
Mwah!

I dont think I took the ion cannons into consideration for the ISD . . .my apologies.
Personally, I dont consider tractor beams to qualify as guns even if they can be used in an offensive capacity.

Oh, and if anyone wants a good bio, ask Gash or Hex. This is the bio for the Zeus Class from the TNR archives (I'm sure it applies here, as well)
The Zeus takes the basic and effective shape of the ever-so-prominent Imperial Star Destroyer, yet both the port and the starboard sides bare a large “pontoon”-like extremity protruding from the backward aft and extending to the forward tip in a dagger-like edge. Consequentially with this tri-hull design, several additional fighters bays, secondary shield generators, and miscellaneous cargo spaces simply add to the Empire’s nearly flawless design…but now one placed in the right hands.

Uh, Ren?
50 x Heavy Turbolaser Batteries = 200 Guns
50 x Heavy Turbolasers = 50 guns
20 x Heavy Ion Cannons = 20 guns
10 x Tractor Beams = 10 guns
280 Guns
But I did fail to take into account the other weapons on the VBC... and those shields are really, really, strong, too.

An ISD has around 212 individual turbolasers/guns when you count them all up.
This ship has near enough 500 individual weapon mounts, thats around 400 or turbolasers compared to an ISD, which only gives away 650 meters. It's way too much for that size.
At eighty batteries, that's still exactly 320 individual turbolasers . . .since batteries consist of four (extremely powerful versions of) turbolasers.Still way more than an ISD, and more than fair, especially with all the other weapons on it.

Dude, it's bigger than an ISD, and with 80 Turbolaser Batteries (say, for argument's sake, 320 guns), that's only a few dozen more batteries than the ISD itself.
Plus, it's got those cool pontoon-like extensions to cram additional shielding etc. into. Six sqaudrons is fine...

Imperial Reduncancy, I'm fine with the numbers considering the Imperator had nearly 38,000.
I'd like to see a drop of about 1,500 points spread between the shield and hull ratings.
I concur with Ren, drop the batteries to 80 total.
Drop total starfighter squadrons to 5.

Like I said, I didn't design the ship, so I will leave it to the experts.

I did ratios.. cos I was bored. 26 to an ISD, this has 22. But ISD has only turbolasers and ion cannons.

Looked like a good number to me, I had done the math but I left my numbers on the other notepad :-)
#10 1:33am 11/06/03
Although it only has 250 on a Dominator Class SD, which I used for a comparison, minus the GW projectors of course.

This also has six hundred meters on an ISD.
#8 10:35pm 10/06/03
Heavy Turbolaser Batteries have four. Standard turbolaser batteries are only one, or two.

There was never a history to the Vlyx Battlecruisers that I saw. As a sidenote, the appearence of the vessel is a Star Destroyer wedge with two "pontoons" on it with extra shields etc.
Turbolaser Batteries are still a high, remember that one battery = 4 cannons. That's 400 turbolasers on there... an ISD has 250.

I didn't design the ship. I took it out of the NR archives, so I don't think I have any rights to change it's history.
