Agreed.

As ample time has been given I am un sticky-ing this post, until resubmission has been attained a pending notice will be placed next to each R&D...

Okay, well... This is a tad excessive.
We're getting nothing done it seems, so I am going to suggest the following:
I'd like to see the Shroud and the Twlight both completely re-done and resubmitted so that the staff can start fresh in dealing with this issue.
No extra R&D time or anything of the like, just a change as they now exist.
Any others?

Regarding the Shroud, what is the decision given that we have built quite a bit of them?

*sigh* I wish they could all be this easy

Also speaking as a member of TNO (and since the person who put forth the design is no longer here) I would say that rather than fight over every little point you have raised to keep a ship at "uber" proportions just tell us what you think would be fair...

Do whatever it is you guys feel you need to do.
Speaking as a member of TNO, I really don't care, and it won't affect the way I use the ship, because I don't base a vessel's damage potential or abilities in combat on the number of quadropedic flux fire-retardent capacitators or crystaline fusion recallibrated dylithium foshizzle double-blind triple-blind blind-man-with-a-stick cloaks it has...

Regardless of whether Lei would swear at me or not does not matter, unless you are going to do another R&D for a non-crystal cloak then you won't be having a non-crystal cloak.

I concur with Gue on this matter.
I do respect the ammount of work put into the project, however; this does not change the fact that there are problems with the project, as already seen.

one thing, Lei didnt design that alone, thats 2 peoples work, 3 if you include carbon fiber armor. Lei can tell us to do what he pleases, that wont exclude him from having an R&D set to standard. Im not against non-crystal using cloaks, though I do enjoy a good sized explination of them.

No, I'm just paranoid, and disagree with you on the fact. People like Lei who put that much work into creating a cloakable R&D should not have all that work scapped because it doesn't use magical "cyrstals".
If he was around, I would have predicted a response of "@#%$ you" to that...

I have not made any "rulings" however, I have pointed out that Stygium crystals will be required, I trust this is not overstepping my boundaries?

Yes, only moderators not involved against/with these weapons will be allowed to review.
I will be watching it to make sure it’s not skewed. Moderators are supposed to be impartial as well.
You won’t have to scrap your ships; the stats will be adjusted only. If size is increased, you will have to make reductions to account for that.
It was decided by the Staff that if a ship is seen in battle to be horribly overpowered, and two or more R&D mods impartially agree, they may recall it for a review. This power will be used under staff supervision to ensure no foul play.

I myself am not fighting against either vessel in any thread, and neither is Beff. Aside from that, as R&D mods we are supposed to be non-biased in these matters, so even if we were, that should not matter.

You are welcome to think that. The fact of the matter is that two or more Mods agreed that the Shroud and Twilight were far over-powered submissions, which means, regardless of previous approval, you will indeed need to make some alterations to continue using this ship... elsewise it faces being slagged all together.
If you feel you are being hard-done-by, go over our heads and go to the Staff.
For the interm, both of these projects are under speculation.
Thank you.
