Length: 7 Meters<!--EZCODE BR START--><!--EZCODE BR END-->

Thruster Speed: 5 MGLT
Crew: N/A <!--EZCODE BR START--><!--EZCODE BR END-->

Troops: None
Consumables: None

Cargo Capacity: None

<!--EZCODE BR START--><!--EZCODE BR END-->Hyperdrive: None<!--EZCODE BR START--><!--EZCODE BR END-->

Hull Integrity: 50 RU<!--EZCODE BR START--><!--EZCODE BR END-->
Primary Shields: None<!--EZCODE BR START--><!--EZCODE BR END-->

Backup Shields: N/A<!--EZCODE BR START--><!--EZCODE BR END-->
Weapons: 6 Vibro Cutters, located at the end of all six ‘tentacles’, for cutting through a ship’s hull and entering the vessel. 2 Heavy Blasters, mounted on the ‘head’ of the droid for fighting inside the ship. One Emancipator Shield Cutter (mounted on the underside of the droid) for removing the ship’s shields in the general area of it’s strike point. <!--EZCODE BR START--><!--EZCODE BR END-->

Special Technology:

- Information Matrix Center
known as an IMAC, the information matrix center was developed by Ulban Arms to help control the actions of a droid. The IMAC was part of the droid's central processing unit, and allowed the droid to receive communications from a command center. The unit also sent information about the droid's status to the command center, where decisions were made on what to do next. The IMAC was initially installed in the Class 1 Defense Unit<!--EZCODE BR START--><!--EZCODE BR END--><!--EZCODE BR START--><!--EZCODE BR END-->

- TrangTwo Lowlight Optical Band
this was a common modification to the photoreceptors of droids, during the early years of the New Republic. The TrangTwo allowed droids to operate and maneuver in near-dark conditions.

- Molecularly-bonded Armor
this dense armor is created by bonding metals at the subatomic level. Texture-molding tractor fields hold the metal in place while it is just barely surface-liquefied. The hot metal surface is then bombarded with charged particles that increase its bonding strength and resiliency

<!--EZCODE BR START--><!--EZCODE BR END--><!--EZCODE BR START--><!--EZCODE BR END-->Commentary: Shaped like a scorpion, the attack droid has one sole purpose: To strip the shielding off of a vessel in a ten meter diameter and cut through it’s hull. After it peels the hull away from the vessel, it enters the vessel and it’s automatic programming is to kill anyone and anything in sight. They are programmed to destroy anything that looks remotely important to a vessel or planetary defenses’ operation. It will never stop doing this task until forcibly shut down from it’s host ship. In order to accomplish all of it’s tasks, it’s tentacle-type arms are equipped with a heavy laser cutter, to slice through the hull and to destroy machinery.

OOC Commentary:

The benefits of such a droid is self-explanatory. The disadvantages would be:

- Several direct hits by a standard capital grade blaster cannon could destroy the droid. It’s armor is designed more to deflect and defend against personal weapons such as grenade launchers or blasters. One turbolaser blast would be sufficient enough to destroy the droid.

- It lacks the sufficient programming to perform complicated evasive maneuvers, thus rendering it susceptible to easy destruction by a capital grade weapon.

<!--EZCODE BR START--><!--EZCODE BR END--><!--EZCODE BR START--><!--EZCODE BR END-->Commentary: Works the exact opposite way of a shield generator. It locks on to the shields of any given ship and strips them off. Early Imperial military scientists worked for years in the safety of the Koornacht Cluster to create such a device to do the same thing on a capital ship scale. During the Yevethan uprising, the aliens succeeded in capturing the technology, and a workable prototype. After the Yevetha accepted an alliance with the then Outer-Rim Federation, they turned the plans (and the prototype) over. Federation scientists had been attempting to create a workable model ever since. When Arkania
joined the Sovereignty, they had their microtechnology specialists assist the Sovereignty engineers with the project, and together they were successful in miniaturizing the technology.

The Emancipator is mounted solely on the Scorpion Attack Droid, and was specially designed and modified to fit that particular droid. The Scorpion’s own internal power sources allow the Emancipator to function almost on it’s own.

The Emancipator is made up of a small computer, placed inside the Scorpion, that has a specially designed sensor package to detect the precise frequency of the shields. After this, it activates special gravitic ‘disrupters’, to quite literally, rip the shields off of a small portion of an enemy ship. This is taken directly from battle reports of Yuuzhan Vong encounters.

The Emancipator has the ability to target it’s miniature gravity wells on a particular portion of the ship’s shields and rip it off. However, this effect is only in a ten meter radius, allowing the droid access to the hull of the ship unhindered by shields.

The Sovereignty Emancipator uses a combination of gravity wells, and a type of reverse-repulsor plates. Unlike the dovin basal which uses a black hole to suck up everything from shields to laser blasts, the Emancipator uses gravometric disruptions.

During initial tests against dead-weight targets, the pilots of the ships found that by increasing their inertial compensators, they were able to resist the shield stripping effects. Sovereignty and ComTech microtechnology scientists gave the Emancipator’s control computer the ability to increase and decrease it’s power at will, so it can increase the power of the gravitic disrupters, in order to overcome the blocking ability of the inertial compensators.

NOTE:

- 1 Post for the droid to launch from it's host ship to the target ship

It uses gravity to pull the shields off of a vessel in the same way a dovin basal does. It doesn't exactly create black holes.

And yes, it will only be used on the droid.

While I think the Hull is 30 RU over, youve already stated one hit from a capital ship grade weapon is enough to wipe it out so I can accept it. All in all a nice design.

Im somewhat hesitant on this, and will only allow it under the following conditions:

1. It only ever be used on #6 (IE: Not onboard missles, shuttles ect)
2. Decide exactly how it does this works, Dovan basals and Gravemetric disturbances are two different things. Im gonna have to say no to creating black holes though...
