Anthos R&D 4 - AEC|C|MS

AEC|C|MS

General
¤ Designation: System Advancement
¤ Applicable to: All Craft
¤ AEC|C|MS

Designation
¤ This R&D is a system level advancement, an addition in technology to existing systems.

Application
¤ Upon completion, this system will be applied to all vehicles capable of carrying any standard communication and counter-measure systems.

AEC|C|MS
¤ With diligence and much work (not to mention a whole slew of luck), Anthos engineers have manufactured a complete sensor and communications update for Anthos craft. Based upon the idea that current systems are incomplete, and highly faulty, they went to the task of creating a much more reliable, and robust system. The AEC|C|MS has two subdivisions, the communications and scanner departments.

Communications
¤ The communications system on the AEC|C|MS is designed to prevent interruption via jamming. Other than the robust anti-jamming system, the communications department received only one other upgrade, that being in the jamming department.

The Anti-Jamming system on the AEC|C|MS is incredibly powerful, overcoming military-grade jammers with relative ease. It uses an increased power-flux transformer, and an upgraded transmission system to accomplish this. The power-flux transformer leaches additional power from the main power core, and stores it in an internal battery. This additional power gives the advanced communications dish an additional boost, as it requires such.
The transmission system involves several new computers, and a rather large networking array. Combining the networking array gives the system the punch needed to overcome almost all military grade-jamming systems.

Scanning
The AEC|C|MS system also includes a heavy duty ECM and ECCM system an upgraded version of existing ECM and ECCM systems. Utilizing a larger, dedicated power generator, as well as almost twice the amount of circuitry, the new ECM and ECCM systems are much more versatile than the older models.

The larger generator facilitates an upgraded high-power 'screamer', or white noise generator. This white noise generator operates just like other white noise generators, the exception being that it is a lot more powerful, and saturates a larger radius. The larger generator also powers the ECCM system, which generates counter-white noise to "smooth" out enemy white noise and allow allied targeting systems the ability to lock on and fire.

Although the new systems are more powerful, in terms of both blocking enemy targeting locks and generating its own blocking mechanism, it does come at a cost. The additional power drain forces the system to shut down after 40 minutes of use, so the batteries can rechange.

OOC
In brief, this is an upgrade to existing communications and counter-measure systems. It will be applied to all Anthos military ships. The Communications upgrade allows ships to transmit short and medium range transmissions through jamming, and the scanning upgrade allows Anthos missiles to break through enemy lock jamming, as well as generate a very powerful anti-lock field of its own.

R&D Time: 20 days
Addition time: 5 days renovation for entire fleet, automatic includes on all future ships built.

he isn't going to use this R&D anymore, he is going to rewrite it.

Eh?

Nix this, it's going to be re-written.

APPROVED

No, it's just a higher chance. *thinks*

Like, an extra dice in a board game. What would be the best way to express that?

So your missles could get a guarunteed lock on any ship using white noise to break locks?

*edits in crappy description*

light= around a planet
medium = in-system
long = sector range

I'll work on something for the Scanner stuff.

I got no problem with the communication systems, just, how far is medium range?

As for the sensor, Id like a little more than "heavy" to describe how it can break any ECM...
