Sublight Engines: New model RX-Z21 Sekotian capital ship engines add a smooth flight to a strong engine. The standard Xyto cruiser uses RX-Z20 engines which aren’t as smooth, but are just as powerful. These engines use a crystal starting mechanism. When a switch is flipped on the bridge, a beam of light hits the crystal. The light is then broken into all the colors of the spectrum. Inside the mechanism are two receivers. One receives red light and one receives purple light. The lenses have lids that can open and close. Each engine has a small verbobrain that detects malfunctions in the system. When a malfunction is detected, the brain opens the lid over the red receptor and closes the one over the purple. When the red light hits the red receptor, the engine shuts down. This is an automatic safety function to keep the engine from exploding.
Bridge Bypass System: On each Neron-class there are two locations other than the bridge from which the ship can be controlled. The safety system in each one can bypass the bridge. However, there are two security codes and a voice recognition system to go through.
Other Equipment: Standard Sensors Package

I would ask for a better break-down of your embarked craft.
Please detail:
10 squadrons - Of what? How many are we assuming per squadron? Please define.
1 Skipray squadron - We've discussed this, so I am curious why the R&D has not been ammended to include above information. Please?
5 Shuttles - What kind? Shuttles can range in size from a fifteen meter beam up to hundred meter beams. Define.
Refer to previous Verbo-Brain comments.

I think it looks alright, you still have the notation of 10 Squadrons of fighters, that's 120 fighters, right? I think 10 squads may be a bit high, Beff is better at that kind of calculation than I though, so I'll let him do that.
I'd like to see you do a Verbo-brain R&D as well, seeing as you seem to use it everywhere. I'd like to know exactly what sets it apart from a simple cpu chip, which wouldn't need the extra maintenance. Firing a turbolaser isn't really rocket science, you point, and click. There's a little calculation to adjust for movement, but at the speed a turbolaser beam moves it's pretty much a non-issue. So, if you could put that on your to-do list...

So what's the consensus?
#18 12:58am 25/09/03
I did them already.

Allow me to enlighten...
A squadron can consist of a variable number of craft. There is no law which states; All Squadrons must have 12 Vessles.
Squadrons are put together based on their operational objectives and orders. The same is true of most other combat groupings, Naval, Air-Force or, Military such as: Flight, Wing, Detail, Patrol and so on...
The number 12 has become a prevalent misconception at TRF which I should like to see fixed.
From this day forth I am going to request EXACT numbers when detailing fighter capacity, as well as a general size of said starfighters to establish capacity.
And I believe there are still some reductions pending as said by Lup.

Correct. Our thought being since they're about twice the size of normal fighters, half a squadron is about the same meterage as a squadron of fighters.
#15 3:33am 24/09/03
Which makes sense since they're more than twice the size of normal fighters.
#14 3:16am 24/09/03
We consider 6 Skipray's to be a squadron at TTR.
#13 3:14am 24/09/03
2 = Pair
4 = Flight
6 =
12 = Squad
36 =
72 = Wing
144 = Group
#12 3:04am 24/09/03
Isn't that a wing? Or something... A squadron is 12, a Wing is ... 6, and a prayer is one? :P
#11 1:42am 24/09/03
6 Skips.
#10 1:38am 24/09/03
Yes.
How many 'Skips are in that squadron?
At 25m x 14.3m x 7.2m when docked, they are not incredibly small.

I reduced the weapons emplacements somewhat. Still want me to lower anything?
#8 4:57pm 23/09/03
271 emplacements, maximum fighter capacity (slightly over even) and sheilds above minimum.
Reduce something, honestly. Uberships just aren't kosher.

To save the hassle of trying to figure out the Tachyon thing from Zen, even though I know has something to do with sensors, I just deleted it.
