Explanations

Phalanx Anti-Missile Point Defence Gatling Laser Network

The Phalanx, is made up of a network of small, turreted light blaster cannons. These weapons are very able to pick out missiles and destroy them from long range. The Phalanx System reduces the percentage of successful short-range missile strikes to less than 20%, and long-range attacks to under 5%.

Reactive Shielding

Reactive shielding is a system designed to protect the Messiah from energy weapons. When the vessel’s shields are raised, a special battery bank is charged along with them. Then, when computers detect a substantial bombardment against any section of the vessel, the shield is immediately recharged with stored energy from this bank.

Multi Track Shielding

Multi Track Shielding uses a dedicated targeting computer imbedded in the shielding system to track approaching enemies and calculate approximate damage. The system automatically them distributes shields for maximum damage resistance. Combined with reactive shielding, this system gives the Messiah an unprecedented edge in battle.

Dictator Communications Package

An extremely powerful communications centre, the Dictator provides instandanious holonet communication anywhere in the Empire. The Communication System is equipped with high packaged com gear designed specifically to punch through enemy jamming measures, allowing the New Order to communicate with other elements despite enemy attempts to silence them.

The Dicator can also be turned to more hostile measures in order to jam an enemy fleet. With a complete array of jamming devices capable of cutting off nearly all forms of enemy communication, the system is capable of silencing even the most determined enemy messangers.

Finally, the Dictator system carries a full network of encrypters and decrypters, allowing for Imperial forces to slice enemy battle encyptions at the scene in the least possible ammount of time.

Background Information

Designed by the same engineers that developed the Guardian FDV, the Dictator is similarly a ship designed with one mission in mind: communications.

Carrying state-of-the-art communications systems, the DFCV can penetrate even the most powerful enemy jamming measures in order to communicate with the rest of the Empire.

When deployed in a defensive fleet, the FCV almost guarantees that Imperial forces will be able to engage in communications. When sent in to pacify a world, the Dictator can commence jamming powerful enough to stop even personal comlinks aboard enemy warships.

The FCV is built on the framework of the Immobilizer 418 Cruiser, the gravity well generators being replaced with the communications devices.

Because of the sensitivity of its communications systems, the DFCV is unarmed and carries only one sqaudron of fighters for its protection. It makes up for its lack of defences with heavy-duty shields and high-speed engines, the idea being to evade enemy with speed and agility as opposed to fighting them.
