Additional Information
Designed to fill the gap between the Hapan Navy’s smaller cruisers, such as the Nova, Supernova, and Battle Dragons, the Jewel of Hapes is a spherical attack carrier based on the Empire’s prominent Attack Class Carrier Sphere and Star Avenger Tactical Assault Platform. Toting heavy weaponry to protect itself from enemy warships, and hold its own in fleet engagement, the vessel also serves as a launch platform for the new Hapan fighter designs, the Griffen and Dragon droid fighters.
Heavily armed and armoured, the Jewel of Hapes promises to become one of the Consortium’s mainline combat warships.
EDIT: Missed an ezcode.

So no write up on details then?

I did mention vague specifications in what i said i would include, as did the part of draysons post.
I will allow the staff to rule on the issue as godmoding, and will accept the resulting punishment, based on my realistic use of this tech. Also note, noone other than myself and an alter ego of Ren will ever use this ship in combat against a live enemy. The limits will be vague, as it is entirely dependant on the circumstances on how it is used.
Also, the tracking of the spacedust being bumped isn't truly the sole goal of the tech. Primarily, detection results not only from the movement, but also from the relative buildups that would occur from ships moving in space. Unless the hull is entirely sleek with not a single edge to catch the dust, buildups will occur on the levels that will be detectable.

I just want specifications about the extent of this tech. It has the capability to be abused in extraordinarily large ways, detecting any cloaked ships instantly. I want limits spelled out in the R&D document, really.
To me, tracking space dust isn't possible because of the minute size of said dust, and whenever it is present, the incredible amount of it around - thus requiring a massive amount of computing power to follow everything.

The part about me always being right?
Go right ahead.
#33 4:33am 10/11/03
*is too lazy for his own good*
Hows about i just insert what both me and drayson have said on the matter, into the R&D?

Alright, thanks.

Righteo. Well, i can't now, simply because i've got too much time focused on exams.
But soon.

:rolleyes ,you wish.

Sure thing. :)
"Drayson seems to be always right."
That's very true. I should be promoted to Jebus.

oh, thats ok, ignore my point why dont you...
Space isnt filled with dust... my point

I don't like a briefly worded item put into an R&D which could potentially be abused to an enormous extent... Not to say Lup would do that, but if this is stolen, or a member of Lup's group uses it, etc etc. Lup, if you could write up a paragraph or two about the function and limitations of this sensor suite, and stick it in the R&D, I would be grateful.

Drayson seems to be always right.
So is it now Approved now that you have heard that instead of saying it straight away.
#25 1:13pm 31/10/03
You're right Kyric, but what can i say, you're my inspiration.
Drayson is right. Typically, the sensor itself would only be used with high levels of success at ships which are closer to the ship. As the distance between them increases, the accuracy decreases. Obviously, the sensor discounts the smaller movements, only relaying larger movements that could possibly be actual cloaked ships (but still noting all, just in case).
#24 10:03am 31/10/03
*shrug*
No sensor can be 100% accurate at detecting cloaked ships... Lup's sensor would simply be one small indication that cloaked vessels are present.
Opinion: let the sensor go, but don't allow it to achieve a sensor lock on a target. It would be similar to modern-day stealthships (under development, obviously). They do broadcast small sensor echoes, but not enough for anti-ship missiles to get a lock on them...
