Resonation
ResonationDeveloped on the hypersecret Arc Hammer Research Station and the Yaga Minor Scientific Council, Resonation is a new breed of communications technology for a new era of warfare.
With jamming systems becoming a very real threat to Imperial fleets and systems, a method of communicating without the risk of enemy jamming measures interfering was neccessary.
The result of generous funding from the Yaga Minor Protectorate and months of intense study by top engineers is the Resonation project.
During research of alternate forms of communicating, it was discovered that by splitting atoms of certain metals, any note made on one piece would be replicated instantly by the other, despite vast distances between the two.
With further development, this discovery was adapted to allow speech to be transmitted in the same way across massive distances. And because the communications does not travel on standard wavelengths, it is both unjammable and undetectable by conventional ships systems.
The device can transmit only voice, though visual versions are being developed. Because the device transmits instantly, it is no longer neccessary for the Empire to mantain massive holonet networks (though many will be kept active for civilian and commercial use, as well as non-essential communications). Also, because this form of communication is far from conventional, risks of it being intercepted are slim.
Despite this, standard Imperial encryption devices are still applied to all outgoing messages. The new system will be placed aboard all major Imperial warships, stations, and command facilities.

If you're basing this off of some modern scientist's pet theory, you should have more information than "it happens".
If not, you'll need more explanation on how this happens.

Wormhole theory? Never heard of it...
It's really quite simple. With the atom split, but the two pieces still having the exact same makeup, any harmonics played on one are replicated instantly by the other.

Strange? how?
Are we talking along the same harmonics that popular wormhole theory is based on?

Heir, you've been acting really strange lately, you know?
The idea is, with the atom split a harmonic made on one piece exists at the exact same moment in time on the other piece of the split particle.

I dont think this is incredably workable. It would travel slower or at the best, as slow as, a radio transmission. This wouldnt be good for interstellar travel and less than desired for system wide comunique.
