Explanations:

Multi-XMAP:

Advanced Phalanx Network: This version of the Phalanx Network has been upgraded to include a mix of various types of cannons. There are three types of cannons used in this network. The first is a small number of advanced flechette launchers. These launchers launch tubes filled with the shrapnel, and ionic fields that detonate 10 kilometers out from the ship, filling the missile's paths with stuff that could confuse the warheads, and cause them to detonate, taking out other nearby missiles. The next line is a series of 3-barrel laser gattling cannons. These cannons fire at a rate of a anti-starfighter quad laser cannon, and have an effective range of 5 kilometers. Lastly, but not least, is the 6-barrel laser gattlings normally used in the original phalanx network. These fire three times as fast as a quad laser cannon, and usually take out the most warheads. Linking these systems together is an advanced targeting computer that analyzes the warheads path as they approach closer to the ship, increasing the normal accuracy of these cannons by a substantial sum. Short Range (under 10 kilometers) missile strike reduced to 75%, Long Range down to 20%.

Rerouter Stations (7):

These stations come equipped with lots of specially made power lines with a very wide bandwith, allowing an unusual amount of power to be fed through them at one time. These stations basically act to transfer power from one type of system to another, within seconds, without the risk of overloading the computers, and lines, and slagging them, resulting in a meltdown, and powerfailure. 70% power can be transferred from one system to another per a post with these stations on the Superior.

Proton Torpedo Octect:

These special launchers are actually eight proton torpedo tubes crammed into one launcher. In order to prevent thrust damage from simultaneous launches, the launcher has to project it's self away from the ship, and at must redock with the ship in order to reload. If the launcher is destroyed while fully loaded, the ship suffers about 10-15 meters worth of destroyed hull from the chain reaction explosion.

Firing Arcs:
Turbolasers:
76 topside, 24 bottomside.
Ion Cannons:
36 topside, 14 bottomside.
Proton Torpedo Launchers:
150 topside, 50 bottomside.

Weapon Layout: Topside:
Guns arrainged into four clusters, two front (one port, one starboard), and two aft (one port, one starboard). In each cluster: 19 Turbolasers, 9 Ion Cannons.
Torpedo Launchers: Four groups of 35 each, two port, two starboard, in centre of ship. 5 more tubes port, starboard each towards the bow.

Bottomside:
Guns: at random intervals sufficent to defend ship from any angle.
Torpedo Launchers:
25 port, 25 starboard, spaced evenly along length of ship.

Arcs:
Bow:
50 Turbolasers, 25 Ions, 200 proton launchers.

Aft:
50 Turbolasers, 25 Ions, 200 proton launchers.

Port:
50 Turbolasers, 25 Ions, 100 proton launchers.

Starboard:
50 Turbolasers, 25 Ions, 100 proton launchers.

Half Bow Port/Starboard, Stern Port/Starboard:
25 Turbolasers, 13 Ions (12 in Stern ones), 100 proton launchers.

Top:
76 Turbolasers, 36 Ions, 200 proton launchers.

Bottom:
24 Turbolasers, 14 Ions, 200 proton launchers.

Note - If approved will replace MACC.

Indeed. Considering that was over two years ago.

For that matter, they're not a new technology, simply the configuration of an emplacement.

#83 4:27pm 09/08/04

BTW, a reminder I keep forgetting. August 13th is the finish R&D date. I think.....

#82 4:18pm 09/08/04

Octets were my invention with the Aurora-class Battlecruiser. So hush!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are legit!

#81 11:24pm 16/07/04

YAAAHHH!!!!

#80 10:25pm 16/07/04

Nevermind.

APPROVED but I still don't like those octets

#79 8:09pm 16/07/04

where did you get that from? When anyone says 200 octects, they mean 1600 proton torpedo tubes jammed into 200 emplacements. Believe it or not, my ship doesn't have the highest ratio of launcher to meter of ship size.

#78 7:52pm 16/07/04

So, when you say "200 octets" you really mean only about under 40?

#77 7:48pm 16/07/04

plus, one shot takes out eight torpedo tubes, not just one like it would be in a normal tube. It gives the opponent a claim for extra damage done too.

#76 2:22pm 16/07/04
But you have to retract the entire octet and reload it.
Doesn't matter much, really, since both sides have to take two posts to fire waves of torps anyway.

#75 9:06am 16/07/04

torpedo octets is 8 preloaded torpedo launchers also a bonus 4 reloads for each launcher good aye?

#74 4:32am 16/07/04

But you have to retract the entire octet and reload it.

#73 4:20am 16/07/04

I've never liked those torpedo octets. Eight hundred missiles per shot?

#72 10:52pm 15/07/04

Ok, I'm back. Time to get this thing approved.

#71 6:38pm 01/07/04

Well I'm planning to design a new Executor SSD at 8km that has more squadrons and much deeper ventral section that I design the pic for it but no website to put it on

#70 4:27am 01/07/04

TRF has built Executor's at 8km (thus the 8km rule). Chalk it up to one of those inconsistencies between written word and filmed visuals.
