Description:
The Spearhead Marine Transport is just as its name implys. This transport is made more for ship to ship boarding than planetary assaults and its this reason why the ship was stripped of any vehicles.
Unlike it's Raptor cousin, the Spearhead is smaller in length but makes up for that defiency in that it comes equiped with a 250 meter long 'spear' that pierces through a enemy shields and hull.
The Spear is almost entirely whole with only a few exceptions being the boarding tunnels that course through the spear, these tunnels however are reinforced so that they don't cause instability when the ship rams another ship.
One of the more unique features of the Spear is its engine overload capability. Instead of actually overloading the primary engines, eight smaller engines are engaged along the back of the ship. This gives the ship a massive boost in speed to allow it to pierce deep into an enemy ship and in some cases even slice said ship in half.
However upon using this ability the eight spare engines become inoperable for several minutes while they cool down.
The lacking of shielding is intended so the ship doesn't have to worry about recalibrating a shield whenever the ship is about to ram into another. The Spearhead is actually the only Serendivus ship that was truly made to intercept and 'ram' another ship and as such its armor is specially built to withstand an impact; the lack of a bigger crew is the result of extra bracing in the ship to further withstand an impact. Along with that its also the only ship thats heavily armored, with the Cynax being the second most heavily armored.
In order to make interception easier and to ambush enemy ships, the marine transport is painted black in order to mimic the background of space. Along with it's stealth system that renders it invisible to enemy sensors(but NOT visual), it can easily move at low speeds to behind an enemy fleet and pounce. Of course, its engines can still give it away if an obsarvant watchman notices the glow of fire out in space that seem's to be coming from something that isn't there.

Made an addition to the ship to off-set it's lack of shields.
In short, the ship is painted matte-black to match space. The ship incorporates a stealth system, unlike the cloaking drive, this stealth system only hides the ships signature from enemy sensors.
Due note; even though the ship is BLACK and matches space, that doesn't mean it can't be seen. It this ship passes by a planet, and an enemy happens to be LOOKING at the planet, then you bet it'll be spotted.... of course.. a fighter craft ramming INTO the ship will also give it away..

Sure as hell wouldn't have problems getting men to crew the ship.
And hey, you got your first volunteer, I think Zells ready to sign up for a trip. :P

APPROVED, oh wait... we don't approve R&Ds anymore. Still... I really wanna see this.
