In case you've forgotten, HERE is a list of the 300+ movies to be released this past year. There's far too much music released in a year to list, but HERE is Rolling Stone's top 100 songs to get you started.
Movie wise, I didn't actually go see a whole lot. But V for Vendetta stands out as a phenomenal film. Lucky Number Slevin and Ice Age: The Meltdown were great as well.
Favourite album of 2006 has to be the Red Hot Chilli Peppers' brilliant double-disc Stadium Arcadium. I wasn't expecting a whole lot, and the quality of this album blew me away. The title track is amazing, and there's lots more simply awesome songs on it.
The best songs of 2006 have to include the overplayed but still great Crazy by Gnarls Barkley (check out the Logic Remix too). Stadium Arcadium, by the Chillis. Angels and Airwaves' The Adventure and Neverending White Lights' The Grace. And perhaps one of the best songs of 2006, I Will Follow You Into the Dark, by Death Cab for Cutie.
