I'm wondering if anyone is interested in helping me come up with stats to the latest canon ships to be introduced into the Expanded Universe? There is two ships in particular that I'm interested in, well three really. The first is from the Dark Nest series, the Super Star Destroyer Megador, Admiral Pelleaon's flagship for the Galatic Alliance. The only thing known about it is that it has sixteen ion engines. I have a couple of ideas regarding that, and from that, it's actual size.

I dunno, considering the BG is set in an alternate and much earlier timeline, I don't see how those ships could appear.

Ok, here is a preliminary set of stats for the Megador. From what I gather and have read, this ship is basically an updated version of the Executor. From my guesses, this vessel has three banks of four ion engines each, in the traditional position of the ones on Executor, and two banks of two ion engines, situated between the three banks.
From that I gather than this vessel is perhaps broader but shorter than Executor, so here is a proposal on size:
Length: 10,000 meters
Width: 2,000 meters
Heigth: 1,000 meters
As for weapons and stats, it's a fleet flagship, so it will probably have a large complement of starfighters and troops. Taking excerpts from NJO, and Dark Nest, here is a likely list of weaponry mounted:
250 Long Range Heavy Turbolaser Batteries
250 Long Range Heavy Laser Cannons
500 Stutterfire Laser Cannons
25 Torpedo Launcher Stations (10 tubes per a station)
50 Tractor Beam Projectors
As for starfighter complement, say three wings (216) starfighters maybe? with 250 support vessels.
Troop complement, ehh, two divisions and one armoured division, for 50,000 troops and 500 ground vehicles perhaps?
Speed, I'd say 8-12 MGLT sublight, and 1.5-2.0 past lightspeed for hyperdrive.
Shields and hull armour, 50,000 SBD and 25,000 RU, proposed.
Thoughts on these speculations?

I'm generally in agreement with Dolash, but they might make a nice reference for what is possible.
Megador's weapons seem all right. I'm curious as to the specifications of the "long-range" turbolasers. Is that something from the book? Same thing for the Stutterfire cannons. I think more torpedoes could be carried as well, seeing that models of the ESD carry 250 Missile Tubes. Carrying complement seems fairly reasonable too.
Considering that the original ESDs (depending on the model) move from 4-8 MGLT, I think 10 MGLT would be the most approriate speed. I realize that the Megador has better propulsion systems, but still, it is massive compared to the smaller ISDs, who still only move at 10 MGLT.
Hull and Shielding look reasonable. It's kind of hard to compare based on the various sources which give ESDs different lengths, and thus, different stats.

Various references in Wookiepedia and the last NJO novel talk about long range cannons being used to decimate the Yuuzhan Vong formations, and that these cannons were mounted on the largest ships. Stutterfire cannons, well I don't know if it's a specific type of laser cannon or an ability like on the smaller ships, but I seem to remember the larger capital ships having these types of cannons mounted on them to decimate Coralskipper formations in the NJO and dartship formations in the Dark Nest triology. As for the torpedoes, re-read carefully. It already mounts 250 tubes, but they are group into twenty five different stations, with ten tubes per a station.
I'm trying to debate between three wings of starfighters or four. Although most ExSD model destroyers carried two wings, latter models implied they carried far more starfighters. And Drayson, for those who timelines are set in this area, and for those who are technical starship geeks that must know the specifications for every single combat ship.

And so on.

The Megador is a new type of Super Star Destroyer that served as Grand Admiral Pelleaon's flagship during the Dark Nest series, and was at the head of the fleet sent to the Roche Asteriod system to prevent that system's takeover by the Killiks. Pelleaon is the military head of the Galatic Alliance FYI.
