The Rebel Faction

I was wondering whether it is possible to create a new faction within the TRF galaxy. I understand that at this present moment in time, there are changes within the CommonWealth which can understandably take up a large amount of your time, though I wonder whether it is possible.

Brief History

The New Council was once a single council made up of twelve members, all working as a single organisation to bring the planet of Xionti to success and greatness. As Xionti’s success and developments grew in size and power, the New Council grew. Those who supported the New Council desired for expansion and integration.

The New Council became a group that delved into the workings of the mind, searching for knowledge and truth. It searched for knowledge in psychology, sociology and general studies and grew in knowledge. Xionti became a place known for it’s knowledgeable inhabitants and intelligent government. Soon, the New Council longed for galactic power and stepped into the galaxy searching for further truth.

Soon, the New Council became a faction within itself. The population of Xionti longing to find the knowledge and truth that it’s government held within it’s hallowed halls. A hall was built for those who longed to join the New Council and find knowledge and truth. It was known that some day, the New Council would become an established faction within the galaxy. When that day will be, the knowledge is yet to be known.

This, interpreted into general language proposes that this faction be based upon political power and knowledge rather than arms and war. The faction would be set upon searching for knowledge and truth rather than planetary takeovers and building armies.

If you feel that the faction is not needed at this present moment in time, then I will understand. If there are any specifics that are needed beforehand, I would be willing to gain the specifics before moving further on with plans.

I personally find it fascinating, and would think it a welcome addition. Normall there is a rule, however, that requires that new factions have three different members to found them, so that we can be sure the faction won't die a week later if a single writer loses interest. Have you any fellow writers to join you?

The comments that have been provided are greatly appreciated. I understand there has been some questioning about the New Council and Xionti.

In relation to the thought that the faction would become a sub-faction of the Galactic Coalition due to the fact that Xionti is under the command of the Galactic Coalition and one of it's members, namely UrbanSpiritUK. If the Galactic Coalition deems it acceptable that the New Council becomes a divergent group emerging from the Galactic Coalition, then I am willing to agree to this.

UrbanSpiritUK, however, is actually me. The thread will delve into the creation of the New Council and it's beliefs will provide the opportunity for the death of UrbanSpiritUK to be explained. I will then take the reins as leader of the New Council.

In relation to the explanation that a faction needs three members to join, I created this thread in the hope that it would attract members. I have been told that Leonidas is willing to join the group though he is inactive. I will try to get more members.
