As Darami awoke to the serene beauty around him, the sounds of people surrounded him, disturbing the peace that he had been filled with in his dreams. Perhaps coming to Naboo was not such a great idea, Darami thought. As he sat up to look upon the faces of the crowd, he saw that these people had no anger nor hatred in their eyes or their face. This was confusing, why would people crowd around me if not to attack me? Darami thought as he searched for signs of fury and rage deep within the eyes of the people. He found none.
A young man walked forward towards Darami and suddenly Darami pulled away from the crowd, in fear of the young man though there were no signs of darkness that could be seen. Darami was perplexed as he crawled to the safety of his ship.
"Good Sir, please do not fear us. We wish to know why you sleep on the grass when you have such a lavish home in our capital city. Can you answer this question?" The young man asked.
Darami was confused, how did they know that I had a home in the city? Darami searched through his mind, looking through faces in his mind to find out who this man was. No faces came to mind. Instead, Darami decided that it would be best to stand to meet the eyes of the man. It took some time for Darami to force himself up, Darami's muscles were asleep though his mind was awake. Pain surged through his body as he struggled to stand.
"How is that you know I own a home in the city? I have not visited this place in many years. I am confused and I would like for you to answer my question before I answer yours. Why is that you crowd around me as if to attack me, though you have no hatred nor rage within the depths of your eyes?" Darami asked the young man. He walked towards me and propped me against his body and Darami realised that this man was kindhearted and must've known him in some way.
"We knew your parents for many years. They talked about you for many years and the day that they died, they wished for us to give you this. We recognised the ship as we walked alongside the riverside and we wished to give you what your parents desired for you to be given." The young man gave Darami a scroll which was bound with a red seal and blue ribbon, the trademark of his parent's work. He took the letter and placed it into his pocket.
"Now, good Sir, I pray that you answer our question. Why do you not sleep in the home that you have been given?" The young man gently asked, finding it difficult to control the curiousity that filled him.
"I have no answer to your question. I do not know myself as to why I refuse to sleep in the home that I have been given. Perhaps it is because I do not deserve the home that I have been given, perhaps it is because I am a man with values, and I refuse to sleep in a place of corruption, greed and secrecy. Does this answer your question?" Darami told the crowd in a loud voice so that all could hear his words.
The crowd were taken back by the answer that Darami gave them. Many of the Naboo had hidden from the true depth of the corruption and greed that filled the people and their homes. He grabbed the young man's arm and removed it. Darami felt ready to travel to my home but first he had to collect a few items and read the letter that the man had given him.
"Kind people, I ask that you would leave this place as I need to collect my thoughts. I would also like to have some peace. If you would be so kind as to go back to your business, I would be much appreciative." Darami told the crowd and they walked away from my ship.
Darami sat at the controls of the ship, pondering whether it was right to leave this place. The letter was on the front of the controls, and Darami was scared to read it...
At night they come without being fetched.
And by day they are lost without being stolen.
