Having just watched it for the first time I'm confused. When Yoda said that Qui Gon had reached immortality and then Obi wan was supposed to talk to him.
Did that happen in any of the later movies? Am I detecting and Episode III and 1/2?

There's a cut scene where Yoda was talking to Qui Gon and then the assumption that he talks to Obi Wan later and teaches him the trick.
