He had to do this, and later he would get his home world freed. That was the only motivation he needed as he read through the long history hoping for something to work with. A few hours later, he still had nothing except this was a commercial planet run by a council elected from the few villages on the planet. From the archives there were 51 that had votes, and it took a majority to get anything done, which rarely happened.
That was the reason why it seemed very little changes had happened. This was actually some good news, as Mike would have hated to spend all of his night reading through data. The bad news, however, was that they didn’t meet for another year and an emergency meeting could only be called by that same majority. That must have been the reason very few have been called.
For one to happen then, Mike would have to go to at least 26 different villages and persuade them to call a meeting and to agree to join with the coalition. Headaches aside, Mike thought this to be a pretty simple mission. His first thought was that there at least wasn’t any fighting. Not being the greatest fighter, he wanted to only as a last resort.
That would probably be the case, as this planet wasn’t exactly a militarily built planet. Getting on a shuttle, he made his way for the first village and hoped.
