I will be going to a nearby town, staying with my parents, for as long as 2 weeks to a month (or possibly more), as I help dad build the new family house (last time it was the foundations and such, now we have the bricks, etc); during this time, I will probably be regulated to night time net use, as opposed to day time, so while I won't be online during the day, I should be able to get online most nights, if not every night for a good few hours.

Well, turns out after 12 hour long days on the building site, the last thing on one's mind is being online. Not to mention my hours, if even that long, alloted to being allowed online are severely... short.
I hate being under the parent's roof, especially having been out of home and independent for 2+ years. One would think they wouldn't try to enforce their rules on you again, as long as you didn't disturb them.
Anyway... I will be away for about a month [with the potential to return sooner]; unfortunately this can't be aovoided, as I'm working long hours, almost every day and I just don't have the energy or concentration to get online at nights.
So, until I return, everyone be safe and enjoy your holidays!

Well, as much as I miss my own pad, it's nice to catch up with them every once in a while. But... as anyone living out of home can expect, it's hard when you have enforced limitations placed back on you, and your parents come into your [borrowed] room saying it's bedtime at midnight... despite you being twenty-two.
None-the-less, I don't mind really, as long as I just take the situation at face value and remember I'm simply helping out my folks when they need it, by helping with their new home being built. =)
