Single and NOT loving it...

I know that Kyp Durron and his x-wing squadron meet the Vong and are mostly massacred, the thing I need to know is where they took off from. Was it Yavin IV? Coruscant? When was the last time Kyp set foot on Yavin IV before encountering the Vong?

I don't remember if they took off from a hollowed out asteriod that they had been using as a base nearby to hit pirates and smugglers, or if they had come from Dubrillion after doing the asteriod belt race thingy.

I'm pretty sure they took off from Dubrillion. As for the last time he'd been on Yavin, I think it would have been a while because he had been out in the Outer Rim hunting down smugglers and pirates, something which was attracting the attention of Coruscant, implying that it had been going on for some time.

Yeah. In the book where they take out the Vong Worldship, Kyp claiming it was a superweapon, Kyp and I think his 3rd time reformed dozen were based at the time out of a hollowed asteriod base.
