Because some nut ripped off my air conditioners. Stole 2 of them and so my house is wicked hot (think 9th plane of hell) and so I've been residing at another location. I finally plopped down the money for a new one but having some anti-A/C theft prevention stuff added first before I pick up and install.
I should be back to rp'ing next week.

I have 4 anti-theft devices regarding my air conditioner.
1 - Machete between mattress/boxspring
2 - Expandable Combat Baton (ASP) next to bed
3 - M1911 Pistol in holster (Action III) on duty belt nearby
4 - Shotgun beneath bed.
I have not been robbed to date but then again, most in my neighborhood know of my profession and my disdain for breakers of the law.
I am selling the shotgun if you are interested....

My anti-theft method is living in New Brunswick. Honestly, if you were a thief, everyone would know you here. Saves on ammo, but on the downside, it means living in New Brunswick :D.

Telan, what good are weapons if you aren't around to use them? My external A/C's were stolen while I was away. Twice which makes me feel that I was being "cased".
It would be great if I could lay around in wait for them to come back so I could teach them the error of their ways but alas, I must work and so my keep cannot be defended 24/7.
By anti-theft device, I meant a cage that can go around the A/C to prevent someone from simply ripping it out of the window. If they are determined, then they will succeed again and so I must consider the option of moving into a more secure place.
In any event, got the new A/C but I am not installing until the "cage" is installed which looks to be Monday.

Actually our work van was broken into for the second time the other day, the first time they stole the stereo.
Though this time , they walked away with nothing, hah!
Ever thought of setting up some kind of CCTV camera, or a cam set up to your comp, then at least if it does happen again, you may be able to catch those responsible.
(or at least give the Police something to go on).
Hey! set-up a webcam, then link it here, then us lot at TRF (ie: whoever's around at the time) can check it for you while you work!, lol
