First of all, I admit that the RP in question probably wasn't the most conventionally acceptable way to introduce a new character, but Gackt and I just wanted to try out something a little different and unorthodox. We are both experienced roleplayers and most of you are already familiar with our older characters, either on this board or others, so it's not like we're just a couple of kids looking for ways to textually enact our depraved sex fantasies (ok well, that's actually true, but only partly). I don't know exactly how many of you are following that thread, but if you read closely, there are hints throughout suggesting that the night will have long-lasting repercussions on both the characters involved, even though that aspect hasn't quite been fully written out yet. So, no, it isn't just a random sex thread created just for the sake of it, and yes, it is relevant to other ic events. It was intended to be a very different and more "colourful" way of bringing in these two characters and presenting their relationship with one another, and I personally think we've succeeded in doing just that.
Also, please be aware of the fact that I consulted various staff members, both before and after the start of the roleplay (rather, before things started getting hot and heavy, anyway), about the thread and whether or not the material was suitable for this board. However, just because I was given permission to go ahead with it does not mean that it has now been deemed acceptable for others to follow suit. If you want to start a similar roleplay and you actually have a valid story to back it up, something other than wanting to act out a sex scene just because your character is incredibly horny, then please, by all means, contact the administration about your idea and then wait for their okay signal before going ahead and starting something. Keep in mind though that creating a new thread solely for that purpose isn't the only way you can get away with roleplaying sex; I'm sure no one's going to mind if you incorporate the theme into other roleplays and write it out there, so long as it fits in with the context. I'm not pointing fingers at anybody, and I have no idea what's being planned for the Dehoir/Zarith thread; this is more like a general notice. I don't want to be indirectly held responsible later on for unconsciously spawning a new wave of porn threads. Just remember that the admins are watching, and if you're really all that interested, run it by them first.
As for those who've been following the Gackt/Vasuki thread -- thank you, thank you, and I hope you keep reading because things are just about to get interesting, ahah.
