The Jedi Code had been one of the first things that had been taught to Amalia as she had begun her journey into studying the light.

She’d promised herself to never break that code.

So much for a promise….

The light was fading from her and quickly….

…. And she was lost now somewhere in between, where faded light only seemed to cast a glimpse of her own shadow.

Her shadow looming closer to pitch black darkness.

“Help me to find my strength again,” she whispered quietly into the wind as she made her way to the Café, having no place in particular to go. Well, in truth, she did not know where to go, going only where the wind would take her.

Today it was the Café.

It seemed the simple visit would bring Amalia so much more than she ever could have anticipated.


“So we meet again…”

Amalia's brown eyes quickly darted to the floor, disillusionment crossing her face.

"I don't know really," she said softly, a little too softly.

She did not avoid Jensen for much longer as she lifted her head back up; sighing slightly in quiet reflection toward her own state.

"I'm just.. here."

Amalia could not bring herself to sit down, content with just resting her hands to lean onto the round tabletop.

Jensen finally turned his head to look at Amalia, catching her off guard for a moment.

She'd seen something in his eyes.

A little flabbergasted she struggled to speak.

"... I.. um... I... uh.. Anyway... I guess I don't need to ask you what brought you here..."

Amalia paused in speech to look around, all of the sudden feeling rather uncomfortable. She did not return her gaze to Jensen as she spoke again.

"... I came here... to take my mind off of um... things," she said, waving her hand nonchalantly.

She became lost for several minutes, continuing to look around the café, her mind reaching out to sense some of the aftermath leftover from chaos, there was still too much of a disturbance.

"...I really need to get out of this hellhole," she said, sighing again as she returned her gaze to Jensen.

"...guess I sort of changed my mind about sticking around here," she said giving a disappointed smile.

"I was thinking about heading someplace.. different and well... not here.... Say like... oh I dunno... Jomark maybe..."

She shrugged, not really caring where she would go, just as long as she went somewhere else.

"... I could use some company, want to come along?"

"I know, this place is just dripping with excitement," she said, smiling a little, trying to change the mood.

Begrudgingly Amalia settled herself into the seat across from Jensen.

"That's not the light you feel, that's just my way of showing you that I'm happy to see you," she said, smiling coolly as she clasped her hands together upon the table top.

She shrugged her shoulders, not really all that hopeful.

"Maybe you do feel the light within me, but it still changes nothing. My fate has already been sealed, and so has yours..."

She laughed at the mention of a vacation.

".... just what kind of imaginary world are you living in? A vacation??? It's anything but that, Jensen. Sooner or later you're going to have to face reality here, I don't have time to sit here and educate you... wake up."

Amalia's gaze abruptly turned away from Jensen, she crossed her arms. It was rather obvious that the Jedi was a bit perturbed by the entire situation and its ugly chain of events.

She sighed, shaking her head as she turned to look at him apologetically.

"I'm sorry," she said softly.

"I just.... I don't like what's happening to me. I don't know if I'll be able to make it through this."

Amalia's eyes darted to the empty glass sitting beside Jensen. She remembered how quickly she had finished that glass. Something in her wished that she'd had more than just one glass.

"I'll be leaving soon, but there are some things I have to take care of first before I go..."

Heated scorn crossed Amalia's face within seconds. Her lips very faintly twisted about, doing her best to keep her temper under wraps.

The brown robed woman took a moment to take in a slow breath, letting the breath out just as slowly as she had taken the breath in. Her lips contorted to one side as she bit the side of her lip; something she only did when she was really peeved.

"...You know what... I've had just about enough of this reassurance crap from you and everyone else. So unless you want your body thrown across this cafe, I suggest you take your lips and zip them.. before I do it for you..."

The droid, either stupid or brave, decided to make one more swipe for the empty glass as it rounded its way toward the table again. Amalia however was already one step ahead of the droid, her blaster in hand she positioned the weapon on the droid.

"...How much do you enjoy your job because I'm about to give you a permanent vacation from it..."

"Oh my, I.."

The droid stood still, completely unmoving, though it seemed as if it wanted to leave but was merely stuck due to it's own inability to move for fear of being blasted perhaps.

"...I see, very well then," Amalia said as she pulled the trigger on the blaster, laser fire springing forth from the blaster. The droid did not have any time to react as the rapid fire made perfect impact, the droid's body parts scattering about across the floor.

Standing up, Amalia tucked her blaster into one of the holsters of her belt, giving a brief nod to Jensen afterwards.

"Yes, wait for me at docking bay twenty-eight."

She turned to leave to walk out the door, pausing to turn to look at Jensen one last time.

"...Jensen, see to it that the mess gets cleaned up, will you?"

Without so much as another word the Jedi walked out of the cafe.... setting off to take care of her unfinished business.

Kenshin...

Reaching out with the force Amalia followed Kenshin's presence via the force. It did not take her long to find her student. Once within eyesight of Kenshin, Amalia removed her lightsaber from her belt.

"...I'm not finished speaking with you yet, Kenshin..."

"...I'm sorry to arrive on such short notice. It's very important that I speak with you."

With her purple lightsaber still in her hands, Amalia walked the rest of the distance to stand in front of Kenshin so that she could speak with him in confidence.

"I have a favor to ask of you," she said quietly, lifting the saber in indication of her favor.

"... I... I'm leaving, Kenshin, I'm heading off to Jomark for some time away. The atmosphere here as it is right now is too much for me to handle, and I just want... I just want some time alone," she said softly, her brown eyes searched his for approval.

"..Here..."

Slowly Amalia handed Kenshin her lightsaber, giving it one last long glance over before she did so.

"... Could you give this to Leia for me?? I'd give it to her myself, but I don't have the strength to face her with all that has happened."

Seeing a curious glance sweep across Kenshin's face, Amalia did her best to explain in better detail.

"... This is the lightsaber Leia gave to me, when I became a padawan. I can't bare to take it with me... knowing... that I will... well.. you know..."

Her gaze broke away from Kenshin's, the slightest mix of pain and sorrow reaching across her face. With their gazes still broken, Amalia spoke again.

"... Could you please tell her I'm sorry..”

There then came a long moment of awkward silence as both Jedi stood without knowing what to say.

"...Well I... should get going. Take care of yourself, Kenshin. Give my regards to the rest of the Jedi."

Without another word she turned to walk away, settling off into a run within a matter of seconds.
