Kas, you might know the answer to this one...

I replaced all of the links in the TNO archives as you suggested, and they worked when I first did it. Since then, though, for some reason, they've all gone back to the "showthread" without the whole "therebelfaction.com" bit... this extends not only to old links, but to knew ones where I copied and pasted the proper address directly.

For some reason, the board seems to be converting all my links, and the form its changing them to it doesn't recognize.

So, I say to you, WTF?

I'm using the WSYIWYG editor, but I don't see how that would make any difference?

Change to the plain text editor, copy your post out, and do the find&replace again. Repost. That should work.

The WYSIWYG editor doesn't let you see the actual code, and in my experience, doesn't let you copy the raw text out either. When copying and pasting to and from MS Word it coughs up more than one kind of problem.

Also make sure you have an "http://" before your links. I've noticed that without that sometimes an auto-formatted link won't work right.

What also might have happened is that someone may have edited the post after you. That shouldn't cause problems, but you never know.

Yeah, I used the basic editor when I did the copy/paste and it worked. I wonder if editing the thread with the WYSIWYG editor might change things...

Bah. Pain in the ass, this is.
