that;

1) Mr George Lucas spoiled the "mythical-pathos" of Star Wars by trying to explain the Force in a scientific way?, eg: "Midichlorians".

2) Ruined the image we have as Boba Fett as a Badass after seeing EP II ?

Just curious about what everyone thought...

I have to admit, for me, I think it was a mistake introducing the whole Midichlorian thing, I thought it kinda sucked...

3) Why are you thinking of such things at 4:30 in the morning, moreover, why am I.

Damn you for keeping me up.

Super big yes to both.

I don't subscribe to the whole midiclorien thing myself. I just... avoid it. If little bugs can imbue you with the force, what's stopping me from dropping Jedi on the operating table, and taking their bugs away. Inject myself, and tada... Superman!

Lucas has made a lot of mistakes, once he realized what a gold mine he had. The midichlorian issue is just one of them.

No..

.. and no.

To the Medeclorian (sp) issue, it is cool to know what is behind it. Also, I am sure there are reasons they cannot be "transplanted" which have not been explained and whatnot.

As far as Boba is concerned, I see nothing to diminish him in the slightest from EP II.

1) Yes.

2) No. Boba Fett was a child. He grew up to be a badass.

1) Pathos is the evocation of feelings of empathy and sorrow, so, no. I never felt empathy or sorrow for the mystical life Force that let Yoda lift things.

2) I always thought that Boba was a @#%$, anyway. They should have replaced him with Jesus and had Jesus kick Han Solo's ass. That would've rocked.

On Gash's point 2 -

If they had done that, then Jesus would have fallen into the Sarlacc, and found a new definition of pain and suffering as he was slowly digusted over the course of a thousand years, or what ever it was.

Get my point?

Yes but they resurrected him in the comics and novels. ;]

Becomes A TNO Agent
The excuse the books used was that he set off a thermal detonator, killing the sarlac and @#%$ himself up. He was later found by another bounty hunter (i think this is all from tales from the Mos Eisley cantina) who helped get the old man back on his feet.
