I rented it over the weekend, and I have to say, @#%$ great flick. A pretty damn cool concept combined with exciting execution, suprisingly good acting and an entertaining human story in the midst of the madness.
I saw it in the theatre. Pretty effective on the big screen. Good themes, interesting. Some of it was a bit rediculous. It was pretty unrealistic at times... but that certainly doesn't mean it wasn't good.
I remember when I saw it in theatres and that drop of blood was falling from the body down into the fathers eye... the whole theatre GASPED in unison and a few "no...!"s could be heard.
Lup: Hanging around? Yeah, it seems kind of stupid, doesn't it? I would've been @#%$ pissed. If they'd showed up two minutes earlier, the dad would've lived.
Vega: Yeah.
Hyfe: Which ending did you get to see? The upbeat one or the tragic one?
I liked "28 days" too... I was kind of hoping for the whole world to be infected though... heh.
Seemed to me to be a remake of the Omega Man (with Charlton Heston) - crappy movie.. which was a remake of The Last Man on Earth (Vincent Price) - which I saw as a kid and liked (though I only remember bits and pieces of it).
I don't completely recall... but in the ending I saw the guy and the girl and the younger girl were in a grassy hilly place and were spotted and thus rescued by American (?) pilots... or something.
