I highly encourage you to go out and buy a copy of the July edition, just for this story. There's also another story in here, an alt-history of America that's quite good too. It's only four bucks US (six, for you Canadians), and it's worth every penny. Heck, if you can scrape/beg/mug together twenty dollars, I would say get a subscription.

I subscribe to the Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, a magazine that comes monthly and contains a selection of novelettes and short stories by various authors around the world. This month's issue has a story entitled 'The Continuing Adventures of Rocket Boy', a story that I really, really like. I'm going to read it again just because it's such a cool story.

Almost forgot, the story is by Daryl Gregory.

Strip Tease For Me, Baby / Tie Me To The Bed, Dear
I used to have a subscription to that.. but I got tired of all the Louis Bojold, or however her name is spelled, stories in it, as she's not a writer I like...

I don't think I've seen any of her in the last four or five issues.

I'm not interested enough in the new rash of star wars paraphernalia to spend money to read about it.

I'm not interested enough in reading bad writing to subscribe to any of these.

Typically there are three our four good stories per magazine. They better be good, the editors pay 5 - 8 cents per word on stories.

The short stories in SW Insider are quite good. Authors like Timothy Zahn and Kevin J. Anderson are the norm who make guest appearances.
