As for me, uhh. That priest-type guy who followed Van Helsing around everywhere reminded me a lot of myself; at times it was like looking into a mirror, one where my reflection possessed excessive facial hair, a receding hairline and slightly varied genitalia, but a rather startling resemblance nonetheless. You know how the story goes: sidekick is the one who actually comes up with all the brilliant plots and schemes (which the idiot hero then takes credit for), but despite all this, his chief purpose is for the sake of comic relief, to act stupid and have the audience laugh at him and never take him seriously, unless and until of course he saves the aforementioned idiot hero's ass (a feat for which he receives comparatively little to no acclaim, obviously), and so forth. Et cetera, et cetera. It's a sad, sad affair, really. -wipes tear-
... In retrospect, I don't quite have a clue how all that relates to me, but goddammit, there was this one scene in Van Helsing where the priest-type guy ... trips and falls, I think ? That particular moment, that one instant, it was like staring at my own goddamn movie-screened self or something, I could so completely relate to that. Goddammit.
