Return of the King of the Cafe!
I know next to nothing about music and music-related technology, this has been made clear, but recently I have begun work on a macromedia flash movie, and I felt that a Matthew Good track from "White Light Rock and Roll Review" would accompany it well. But Flash just accepts mp3s, and the tracks I possess on the CD I bought do not qualify.

Thus, my questions are twofold. First, where should one go to get (Obviously legal) mp3-versions of his music? Perhaps somewhere where they could be bought? Or perhaps a way I could use the tracks from the CD?

Second, so long as I do not sell or exhibit the movie online am I allowed to add it to the movie? I'm not sure it is allowed, but I'm just checking.

Download iTunes. Not only does it kick ass, it can automatically convert WMAs to mp3s for you. Or you can download the track from their Music Store for 99 cents...

But whether you bought the CD/song or not, it's still technically illegal to put it in a movie or animation... so having a legal mp3 doesn't matter.

Didn't you make a TNO ad with tracks off the LOTR soundtrack, Mr. Illegal Pants?

Yeah, and I don't give a damn. But Dolash seems to want to make sure the mp3s are legal... which is kind of stupid because synching sound to animation/film is illegal in an entirely new category.
