The past, two months after Farquak and Farquak Junior were surrendered to TNO.
J’apol sat in his office, looking at reports of Imperial troop strengths on Farquak and Farquak Junior. He had been the leader of the Farquak Empire after Crinium had been captured. While he had failed to regain the system, he know felt that he had a chance to win. He quickly turned to his aide, an old supporter of the Farquak Empire, unhappy with the Empire’s control over the planet.
“The Empire has grown lax in its control of this system. They forgot that the citizens do not want to be part of the Empire, and that they want to be independent. The Farquak Empire will grow once more. The time to act is upon is. Activate the teams. The rebellion will start again!”
The Farquak Empire had a lot of experience fighting using guerrilla warfare tactics, and causing lots of damage to an enemy, using as little force as possible. After peace had been made with the Cren Alliance, crack teams of Farquak Empire troops had been placed around the world, with safe houses, and lots of munitions. Hidden bases were spread across the planet and Farquak Junior, full of Rapier Fighters, Saber Assault Bombers and ground vehicles. Spread in hidden underwater bases on Farquak were numerous subs, some with missiles capable of hitting targets over the horizon, on-land. The majority of the land bases were in the countries of Can'd'any and Dern'lya, the most militaristic countries, and major supporters of the Farquak Empire. The valleys of the continent Dor also had numerous bases. The underwater bases were spread across the world. The Cren had been waiting for the chance to rebel once more for a long time, and with J’apol’s activation order, that time was upon them.

At the hidden base 521, on Can’d’any, the activation order came in.
“General, we have orders. J’apol feels that it is time to rise up, and restart the fire of rebellion. We are to destroy the Imperial garrison, number 21, by any means possible.”
“I need all my staff in the command room immediately. We need a plan.”
Within five minutes the staff had met, and ideas were flying.
“We can use the Saber Assault Bombers and just bomb it to hell.”
“Too likely that this base will be located when the bombers are launched.”
“We could call in a base with some subs, and they could use long-range missiles to destroy it.”
“No, too likely that the subs would be found and destroyed, plus J’apol was quite clear that lots of other bases are getting orders to, so we should proceed with only the means that we have available to us.”
“I have an idea.”
“What is it?”
“I know an airspeeder and landspeeder repair shop. We have numerous tow speeders at our disposal. All we have to do is load up an airspeeder, on of the ones we have here at the base, with explosives, set it up so the forward drive will cut out, and then call in my repair shop. We use a tow speeder to pull it back to my shop, but the connection is severed, do to mechanical problems, and the airspeeder plummets straight into the base, exploding, and causing severe damage. We can try to aim it at the hangar. Then some other landspeeders or airspeeders loaded with explosives, set on autopilot can go in and finish of the rest of the base.”
“That could work. Lets get it set up. We are to attack at precisely 1800, two days from now.”
Numerous landspeeders and airspeeders were set up for the mission. Also, some gravtrucks were going to be used.
At Base 395, a similar message had come in.
“Men, here is the mission. We are to destroy five different sensor stations along the coast of Par. I want Missile Subs 1 through 5 to take them out. One missile each should be enough. Does everyone understand?”
“Yes sir.”
“Good. The mission goes off at 1800, Can'd'any time, two days from now.”
Inside Base 476, in Dern’lya, a message came in.
“We have been designated with the mission of destroying a ring of 5 sensor stations. The maps in front of you show their positions, our position, and positions of various military gear around them. What do you think we should do?”
“Three of the sites are within range of this missile turret right here. If we get into it, three shots would be all that was needed to take down those three. When we leave we can destroy the turret on our way out, for a bit more damage. At the other two there is a common route for landspeeders not far away. We drop off two teams of 4 men, armed with chip missile launchers, and the sites are gone.”
“Excellent plan. The mission will go off two days from now, at 1800 Can'd'any time.”
The meeting was finished, and crews went off to prepare for the mission.
Inside Base 048, located on Dor the final team was being briefed about its mission.
Colonel Saunders stood in front of a holographic map, and addressed his men.
“We are going after a supply convoy two days from now. It is supposed to pass through this valley at approximately 1800 Can'd'any time. We will have troops positioned along both sides, hidden, with chip missile launchers, as well as others with light repeating blasters. We take down the convoy, and then retreat.”
“Wouldn’t it be better to create a roadblock and attempt to capture the convoy?”
“Yes it would, but because we aren’t sure exactly when the convoy will pass, we wouldn’t want to stop civilians, which would then turn around and alert the authorities. That would get the convoy to change its course, and we wouldn’t even be able to destroy it.”
“I understand.”
“You will be positioned there at 1700 Can'd'any time, just after a patrol is supposed to go through the sector. Destroy the convoy, and retreat as soon as possible. If they have air protection, try to take it out before getting the convoy, but if the convoy is to heavily defended, let it pass and get out of there. We don’t expect it to be heavily defended; they have numerous other convoys spread across the world at the same time.”
The troops went off to prepare for the assault.
J’apol smiled as he received confirmation from his subordinates.
Excellent. The Empire has 2 more days of peace. Then havoc will be unleashed. The time to act is now, and act we will. The fire of rebellion has finally been rekindled. The Farquak Empire will rise up once more!
Two days later, at 1700 Can'd'any time, the troops were moving out.
At Base 521, the commander of the base was getting the first reports of the mission starting.
“General, the airspeeder has reported its accident. The tow speeder is on the way.”
“Excellent. 10 minutes for it to get there, 10 minutes to get the tow set up, and then 40 minutes of travel. That will get the airspeeder right where we want it. The base commanders won’t know what hit them.”
At 395 reports were coming in from the subs.
“Sir the subs are almost in position. They are going through a very circular route to get to the target, so that the location of the base won’t be found. They expect to be within firing range in about 50 minutes.”
“Make sure they know not to fire until 1800 Can'd'any time.”
“Yes sir.”
At Base 476, in Dern’lya, the reports were coming in from the strike teams, all of them good.
“Sir, the strike time assigned to take-over the missile turret is almost in position, they are hiking in as we speak. They will commence their attack 15 minutes before 1800. By 1800 Can’d’any time they will have taken the turret and will be firing at the sensor dishes.”
“What about the other teams?”
“They are currently hiking into their targets now.”
“Excellent.”
Inside the final base, Base 048, located on Dor, the reports were good.
“The troops are at their specified locations, on either side of the valley, and are ready for the convoy.”
“What about the convoy?”
“Scouts have reported that it seems to be on schedule and following it’s planned route.”
“Good. Notify me immediately in anything comes up.”
It was 15 minutes to 1800 Can’d’any time, and the attack began on Dern’lya.
The squad of 20 troops had the missile turret surrounded, and were hidden in the bushes. The troops quickly set up com and sensor jammers, which would self-destruct after 20 minutes, by which time they expected to be out of the immediate vicinity. Then, blasters set to kill, power packs fully charged, replacement packs ready, and demolitions ready, along with quite a few stun and concussion grenades ready, the attack began. Two snipers quickly aimed their guns at the 2 guards standing outside the door of the base, and shot them in the head. Then the troops charged towards the door. It was locked when they got there, but that wouldn’t stop them. A shaped charge was placed on the door, and detonated. The lock was destroyed, and the troops moved into the missile turret.
On Can’d’any the tow speeder and airspeeder were approaching the garrison on their way back to the repair shop. They would suffer their ‘malfunction’ soon.
On Dor the convoy was almost within range, and the troops loaded their chip missile launchers. The convoy would be wiped out momentarily.
