The returning wave was expected, and with its relatively smaller numbers was easily shot out of the sky by the fleet’s antimissile cannons.
Unfortunatly Drayson, the targets of that missile barrage, you Fire Class Light Cruisers, are not equipped with you anti-missile cannon system.
I was under the impression that the Phalanx is a short range defensive system, and thus could not be used in defense of vessels they are not on.
“Time to firing range?” Vladameer asked, watching as the fleet drew closer to the Belgardi formation.
“Coming into effective range now, General.”
“Thank you, Lieutenant. All batteries, begin synchronized firing.”
With timing facilitated by the fleet’s Multi-XMAP networks, the guns began to fire, pouring trillions of terajoules of energy into the enemy forces.
I assume you mean the batteries on the Zen because if you had your entire fleet firing, then they would firing on your own vessels, as you placed them in a column?
